Used to be a fan of this sushi place, for a quick bite while shopping but my recent experience was a major disappointment. The staff is always friendly, but the quality seems to have slipped. I ordered some California rolls this time and was shocked. It tasted like rice and way too much mayo.. There was also noticeably less avocado than usual. Unfortunately, I had to throw it away couldn't finish my dinner. Not sure if they've changed their ingredients or are cutting corners. Hopefully, this was just a one-off

The California rolls were not very good; the avocado was browning and there was to much mayo. The tempura was ok but the prawns were very small. People were nice though...

I had the Kamikaze roll which had such delicious fresh scallops and tuna on top. Came here after hitting the gym. Humble little nook, full of warmth and yummy choices. I never noticed it before. It's like a little secret. Highly recommend. There are a few tables to eat. I might dine in next time, as the warm roll cooled by the time I got home. It was still delicious and heartwarming though. Nothing quite like warm rice rolls, I think. What a luxury for a reasonable price. I've decided I will try everything on the menu, one week at a time.
Vegetarian options: Quite a lot, unusual for Japanese cuisine, esp for a sushi roll place. Check out the pictures of the menu I took.
