Items are either good or meh.
Excellent food and cakes. Service is wonderful and people are extremely friendly. The cake designer , she is amazing. Show her what you need Nd she will make it happen.
Lived the hopia so much I want to go back to try all the flavors. So lucky they were at the Pinoy festival over the weekend š„®
Today I purchased a package of Goldilocks Pandesal from ā88 Supermarket Killarneyā.
I had invited my daughter over for breakfast. As I was preparing the breakfast she started taking a bite out of a Pandesal bun. A long blonde hair appeared out of the bun and got stuck in her front teeth. At first we both were stunned for a moment. In utter disbelief I pulled the foot long hair out of her mouth. Looking at the blonde hair my daughter jokingly said itās a āGoldilockā.
I immediately drove back to the store and asked to speak to the store manager. I will post a separate review of that store on how they responded. I contacted Goldilocks North Fraser Way. After my third call I was able to talk to the lady responsible for the whole sale. While she apologized for the poor/ no quality control, she promised to take steps to prevent this from happening again.
I am waiting to see what steps are they going to take. It should be easy to find the blonde employee who refuses to wear a hair restraint/ hairnet while having direct contact with food products.
Was looking forward to a decent pastry shop. Instead itās a hole in the wall.
The premium Ube cake is the way to go! It deserves a spot being one of the wonders of the world. It is light, fluffy, airy, and full of flavour. Itās like biting into a cloud of bliss! Also tried the Ube chiffon cake but it was mainly a buttercream tasting cake which is not as good as the premium Ube cake but still good. The cakes are well decorated and a beautiful purple color. Would buy again :)
Their empanadas are fire š„ šÆ
Went here for the first time.
When I went in, a guy came out from the back. I say hi, he completely ignored me.
I bought at loaf, they charge me tax on it which it shouldn't.
Kind of disappointed for everything,
I don't think I ever go back there
It was Oct 29th Tuesday, just after 9am.
Probably around 9:15am
There was a woman at the cashier who was nice.
The guy came out from the back probably working as a baker so he probably thought he didn't have to say anything, but felt very cold.

My sister in law ordered a birthday cake for my daughter's 21st birthday. Told them to put flowers and happy birthday on the cake with my daughter's name. Picked up the cake Saturday afternoon. Arrived at my house, we opened the cake, nothing was on the cake..just plain mocha cake. Tried calling but, it's already closed. We don't have a choice but to use the cake yesterday. I was very disappointed, cake was dry. Never let my family order cake again
Iām very familiar with their cakes for so many years and my 2 most recent experiences were disappointing so posting this review to warn future customers.
Ordered their round cakes on separate occasions but in both times, they made errors on the cake greetings EVEN if I gave handwritten notes. First time, the personās name was wrong (I fixed it myself). Second time, not only the error was an English word instead of French (French version of HBD), they gave me a Mocha instead of Chocolate cake (the recipientās preference).
This review is for them to be more attentive to details and be more considerate of customersā wishes/milestones. So, each time they make an error on my future orders, I will add to this review (until they take action to fix).

First time here and looking to get pastries to take back home. All i have to say is, customer service was terrible. I was there on September 21st and even greeted the cashier just for her to give me a blank stare and never offered to help me out. If you hate customer service, why are you working there? Basic etiquette should have been taught in grade school.

The Filipina aunties and others were so friendly. Overall vibe is homey and welcoming.
Their San rivals is pretty good. The buttercream is perfect, the meringue is so crunchy.
Palabok is pretty decent price and portion as well. Would get it again.
Also got beef, pork, and chicken empanadas. The dough was flaky while chewy at the same time, in a good way. Personally, I would ranked pork as the best one. Well balance flavour with a nice hint of chilli, so good! Beef is on the sweeter side but hit the spot. Chicken was not for me (not a fan of chicken adobo ever though, so I'm a little bias there).

Decided to stop by and get some empanadas for lunch. The chicken adobo was delicious (bit sweet with a slight citrus taste, didn't find it too salty like one of the other reviews mentioned). The beef empanada filling was nice and soft (almost like stewed) and had peas inside. We also bought a container of Ube cookies which had a nice crispiness to them. Note that they don't have indoor seating but there are several nice parks nearby for you to enjoy your food at (picnic style!)

Ordered their silog meals and it was delicious, and their rice portion is not bad. Will definitely eat here again.

Iāve been trying to order a cake by phone and get a busy signal. I even emailed a few days ago with no reply back. At least set up voicemail for customers.
