Grand Chinese Restaurant

I've eaten delivery from Grand Chinese Restaurant a bunch in the past and it was fine, but this delivery order didn't live up to expectations. We had:

N9. Beijing Sauce Noodles - Zha-Jiang Mian (北京炸醬麵) Blade-Shared Noodles
I've ordered jjajangmyeon a bunch recently (mostly from Korean places) and this was the most disappointing I've encountered. The sauce wasn't very flavourful or sweet. However, my son liked it and it wasn't spicy.

N10. Dan Dan Noodles (擔擔麵) Hand-Dragged Noodles
These were good. Sauce was not very nutty, flavourful and enjoyable. Somewhat spicy. I liked the chew of the noodles too.

C4. Northern Curry Chicken (咖喱鸡丁)
A bit of spice but pretty boring. I was disappointed because curry is usually so safe. My family liked it more than I did. I added grated ginger which made it more interesting.

C8. General Tso's Chicken (左中棠鸡)
Was okay. You get chicken, some broccoli, and lots of sliced dried chilies. Pretty spicy. Texture isn't great after delivery, because it's breaded chicken and it had grown very soft in the sauce. (Compare to Korean fried chicken places which vent their delivery containers and it's still crispy.) Leftovers are nice to snack on.

D11. Green Onion Flat Bread (蔥油餅)
Free item!

Total was $74 plus tax, tip, delivery, etc. had a ton of leftovers. That was probably enough food for 6-8 people.

Everything spicy was too spicy for my kids, but since I was disappointed in flavours Id be wary of asking for no spice if ordering again.

Order from here often but received a bad order on Tuesday evening. Uber eats won’t help at all and over charged me and I am now trying to dispute the charge. Very stressful for no reason. Restaurant manager admitted to being short staffed and that may have led to poor quality food delivery. He said only uber eats can refund me. I am stuck now. I want a refund for inedible food delivery.

its ok, oily salty food, not too cheap either.

Been to this restaurant a few times and the service has always been very fast. Food is delicious as well. Highly recommend the sweet and sour pork!

The xiao long bao was good. The boiling fish was mediocre. Lemon tea tastes like a sugar water mixture.

Even after years, this still is the best Chinese Restaurant in the Vancouver mainland area. With a great, warm and cozy atmosphere, serving plentiful and flavorful portions, and not as expensive as other places in the area, I always come here for an awesome meal with my partner and/or friends.

This was disappointing they have dimsum but no shrimp dumplings which is the number one dumpling nor any normal dimsum sold at almost all dimsum places, they didnt care either she just laughed Ha Ha no wine ha ha no light beer just disappointing i had to fly out soon or i would have left....everything i asked for they didnt have and all she could do is giggle....last time there till they get it together esp in a city where there is so much competition...the beef brocholi was good, she was nice but there was just poor product availablity.....

Big portion, and decent food. The restaurant is located at prime location in the area, the Plaza itself has very limited parking, but there are plenty of street parking around the block. I love the spicy and sour potatoes and the cumin lamb slices. Those are our go to dishes.

Food was mid service was horrible had to go back in the kitchen and make it my self it was so bad I threw up after in the parking lot and got food poisoning

Your spicy hotpot looks like leftovers put together from the food left by other guests at other tables, and the lunch meat still tastes like spoiled. Unfortunately, I really like eating your farm stir-fry, and I don’t dare to go there again!
