We love this place for several reasons. Friendly service, delicious entrees, and most of all reasonable price! I recommend the shio ramen!

Portions are great for the price. Great for those who like lighter flavored ramen. Toppings are mediocre. Really wished we could choose noodle thickness and/or texture. Given there's not a lot of good ramen shops around this area, it's a good place to revisit

The rich broth ramen here was so good!! I got the spicy one and my partner got the shoyu ramen. You can choose if you want the rich or regular broth, as well as the fattiness of your meat. We got takeout so we could eat at the nearby Confederation Park with our dog and as I walked out of their store with the takeout, the lady ran to help me open the door. Lovely and fast takeout service!

Great experience dining here. As other reviewers have said, this is a hidden gem. The portions are generous for its affordable price ($12-$15+), unlike other posh ramen restaurants in Vancouver downtown. Service was great with our water refilled quickly. Note that this place is debit (no US debit) and cash only so plan accordingly! Highly recommend for all your ramen cravings. High value and fast service.

I live close by and tried it when it first opened many years ago and was not impressed which kept me from returning. I decided to try again recently and was shockingly surprised that it was very good. Ordered Spicy Miso Ramen with rich broth and pork belly. They grilled the pork belly which gave it extra flavour. I will be returning more frequently. It was quite busy too.

Down-to-earth, traditional ramen. Not the fancy downtown ramen, but the heart-warming ramen after work. Also, very economical. Probably the best ramen below $16 you can find in Vancouver and Burnaby. After so many years, I am surprised they still have not raised their prices. Please tip them extra for keeping the prices affordable. Cash and debit only.

The ramen had rich deep flavour, the serving size was huge, and the price was very reasonable. The staff is also very friendly. Great restaurant all around!

So worth the drive! Service was awesome, he made a great recommendation for my broth choice and I wish I had room to eat a second bowl. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town!

My favourite ramen in the Vancouver area. Casual, great quality, authentic, at a great price. Shio, Shoyu, miso, spicy: they've got what you're craving. Not fancy, just great food and great service.

Got the miso ramen and it was quite good definitely better than many ramen out there. Since the place is quite of nowhere, it seems that not many people would go to. This is definitely as good as yaguchiya and better than santouka, jinya and marutama. Its not better than danbo but this is definitely the better ramen out there. I believe this is a hokkaido ramen and served by japanese. This is definitely a ramen place to check out! Cheers!

The miso and shio (salt) ramen is very tasty. And I recommend the belly part of the chashu. (The picture is taken after I ate some of it so there is just parts of it lol)

Tried this ramen place today, it’s 5 mins away from my place. Ordered the spicy miso, broth was very flavourful, noodle were cooked just nice and love the fact that the cha ahu were torched a little. I will definitely be back!

Kind of a hole in the wall, but surprisingly good. I got the curry ramen with rich broth and "belly" chashu. Was the only one there at beginning and it completely filled up at the end. Broth - curry broth was rich and pretty tasty. Not too heavy and not really spicy. Maybe a tad salty. Meat - it's not super fatty belly. Still plenty of real meat. Noodles - not bad. Slightly chewy. Not thin but not that thick either. Egg - not bad. A tiny bit gooey and soft. Other ingredients - lots of stuff as you can see from the photo loved the fish cake. Overall great value at $13 and change. That's like an awesome bowl of noodles for barely more than US$10.

I'm just here to confirm the 5-star ratings on this hidden gem. Flavorful broth and great texture on the al dente ramen noodles. I had the spicy miso (light broth and lean pork) and found that it had a good kick to it. There was also a side dish of my spicy paste that will clear your sinuses. I'm so glad these Google review pointed me in this direction. Hakkaku Ramen is a great place on a cold afternoon!
