I don’t usually write reviews, but our experience here was outstanding. It was my family’s first time trying Korean food, and we were lucky to have such an enthusiastic server who clearly takes pride in sharing Korean cuisine. She brought us a generous variety of side dishes and checked in to make sure everything tasted great. The service and food made our first experience with Korean food a memorable one we’ll definitely be coming back!

It was great! Food was solid, they gave our party a booth, they didn’t shoo us away after we were just chatting. It was really a great experience all in all. It was clean and tidy. The marinade was awesome

Food was great with reasonable price. Place is quite loud and the BBQ smell is too strong. It's easy to leave the smell on your clothes if you stay too long. Nice staff.

I used to live in the area and have driven by this place numerous times over the years and for some reason never went...until this past Saturday. I was missing out this whole time!
We were a party of 3, seated right away for lunch. We ordered the pork japchae, regular bimbimbap and the braised short ribs. Lots of banchan and staff were on top of filling them up if you wanted more. The japchae noodles had such a great chewy texture and great flavor. The braised short ribs were fall off the bone and very tender. Combined with the sauce and included rice...killer combo. The bimbimbap was good too and quite a large portion.
Prices were decent, comparable to many places. Definitely looking forward to our next visit to try the bbq sets, hot pot and other dishes!

We went there yesterday, July 14 (Monday) around 4-7pm, we threw a surprise bridal shower for a friend but a waitress ruined that cause she had a bit of attitude. It wasn’t even that busy when we went there. Just one girl had an attitude, the rest of them were super nice. It was supposed to be a celebration but our mood was ruined especially when we asked her at the end to take a picture of us, I think she was even scoffing and rolling her eyes 😒 unfortunately, we weren’t able to get her name.I booked a private room (they were also nice when I called them) which was good considering they don’t have a limit for the food you order when booking the room, and the ambiance of the place was also good but that would probably be our first and last visit to the place. The quality of the meat however was not that good, considering this place is not an all-you-can-eat bbq place. We expected a bit more, and it’s pricey for the small portions they serve. I expected it to be at least decent based on the reviews from reddit and tiktok.

Great value for the price! The portions are generous, and there’s a wide variety of side dishes. The interior is clean and spacious, making it a perfect place for group meals.

One of the consistently good Korean restaurants in the Metrotown/Kingsway area. The BBQ combo and the seafood pancake are pretty good.
Come early or make a reservation ahead of time, especially for the dinner rush.

Friday evenings tend to have long wait times, and we had to wait quite a while. That said, the server was friendly and attentive throughout. We saw another customer approach her rather rudely, but she handled it calmly and professionally. The food is consistently great in quality. My only complaint is that the beef rib soup always seems to run out, which is a bit disappointing.

We usually have an amazing dinner at hanwoori. We won't be going back anytime soon. We ordered so many different things. The seafood pancake was all doughy and not crisp. We had to ask for our side dishes. The primary beef dish was chewy but tasty. The bibimbap came in a bowl and not in a hot stone bowl. The jap chae was decent as was the seafood kimchi fried rice. We also had the jiajiangmien. It used to be so good but we will be going to other places now.

Feel like there’s been a change of ownership. I recently came here with my boyfriend and ordered Combo A. Surprisingly, it didn’t come with any rice, which wasn’t the case before. The marinated beef was extremely salty—hard to enjoy—and the beef bone soup tasted like it was mostly MSG, with a bland and artificial flavor. Really disappointed, especially since this place used to be much better. Not sure if I’ll be coming back.
