Feel like there’s been a change of ownership. I recently came here with my boyfriend and ordered Combo A. Surprisingly, it didn’t come with any rice, which wasn’t the case before. The marinated beef was extremely salty—hard to enjoy—and the beef bone soup tasted like it was mostly MSG, with a bland and artificial flavor. Really disappointed, especially since this place used to be much better. Not sure if I’ll be coming back.
We had been here last week and ordered bbq but there is not much sides and beef was so salty. Not a good place for bbq also it is so expensive
One of the best place in burnaby.
I have been here many years ago and it was good, but I came back recently and it was not as good anymore. ☹️
We had the bbq combo A ($79.95), which basically had all kinds of meat, which was really well maintained. Side dishes, also good. We chose the bone marrow soup, which was luke warm, and tastes like cloudy water. No rice included in the combo.
We also ordered the seafood pancake, which was more of a green onion soggy pancake.
Service was non existent. We had to press the button for any kind of service. No one came to check on us, and the restaurant was not busy at all.
Came here at opening for lunch not for bbq but for some soups and noodles. Service was decent but I think checking in at least once for the food is like baseline but that did not happen. Soups and side dishes came relatively quick but my noodles didn’t come until we were half way finished. Preference, would have wanted the noodles first as the soups cooled down a bit but we were too hungry. Anyways, I think it is a bad sign when the side dishes (except the kimchi) out shines the main dishes where I actually got more side dishes to fill me a bit more. They actually had flavour. My broth had no flavour and I found the meat to be very tough. The kimchi stew had barely any soup and was very sour. A lot of kimchi, and tofu which is fine. The jjajangmyeon had barely any taste so that was a let down. This place might be better with the bbq but never tried so can’t say but the entrees I think need work. Wouldn’t recommend coming here for stews/soups or jjajangmyeon.
Great food and great service! Fresh sides and tasty bbq!
My friends and I had a great time at this place! Everything is perfect - excellent food and service. Highly recommend!
Wanted to give 3.5 stars. But willing to give bonus 0.5 for the service. So 4 stars it is.
Man is this place busy. The staff are busy doing their things. All the tables are occupied. We checked in at 20:00 on a Friday night.
The environment looks nice and clean. However it's a little smoky from all the grilling. Advise not to wear nice clothes to any BBQ restaurants. The noise floor is on the louder side. May be difficult to have a normal conversation
The main dishes are decent. Not the best that I had. We ordered Beef signature combo, pork belly, seafood pancake and some other dishes. Not sure if it's a BC things, the pork has a strange tatse. Found that lots of restaurants have this issue. I like the side dishes - those are excellent. Especially the sweet potato. Man are they good.
Service is great. Our waitress was attentive, sweet and kind to us. Did a good job on explaining the items on the menu and communication to us about our orders. No complaints 👍
Food delivering time is a little slow compare to the other restaurants. Probably because the kitchen is too busy today... Other than that our waitress did her best to serve us.
Would I come back? Probably not for the BBQ. The dipping sauce isn't the best. But want to come the other items on the menu.
Whole place is smoky, lacks ventilation. Food is mediocre at best. Took forever for the food to arrive.
Meat very fresh, service excellent 👍👍

Great food and great service! I recommend this place.
Kimchi stew is excellent quality, and comes with tons of sides. Free parking as well! Tucked behind kingsway.
Best Korean Restaurant in the city!!
This place is quite old, if not one of the 2 oldest korean restaurants in the GVRD - alongside royal seoul house in vancouver.
It is at least 30+ years of age.
How does the food taste? It is great. Hasn’t changed much since many decades ago. It is for sure unique in terms of taste due to retaining nostalgia and being one of the earliest korean cuisine restaurants.
Quality ingredients, good prices and big portions. Service is attentive and good ambience.
Come here for some old school overseas korean cooking. Keyword - old school.
This place is always busy.
We as three people had Seafood pancake and Spicy chicken hot pot. The food was very mediocre and could not justify the price tag.
Seafood pancake: It had very little seafood or lower quality ingredient such as imitation crab. No fresh squid to be found. It had way too much mushroom in it, just to fill the batter and increase the size.
After one or two bites, the scent of mushroom was too strong and we couldn't even finish half of this $30 dish.
Spicy chicken hot pot: The chicken used for the dish was tiny and almost had no meat in it. Despite the size, the group couldn't finish the dish since the soup was way too salty, and chicken was mostly uncooked.
