Located within a historic Tudor-style mansion on the shores of Deer Lake, the Hart House restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience. Guests are treated to polished, attentive service, outstanding food quality, and a breathtaking setting complete with beautiful gardens and sprawling lawns.

We arrived early to surprise some friends for birthday and mini baby shower. We got seated with high chairs ready which was thoughtful as it was reservations for 8 adults and 2 babies. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I ordered the beef pappardelle and pasta was al dente with sufficient amount of beef overall in the dish and not overly salty. My husband ordered the burger and it was a good size but wouldn't day its worth the price and the apple jam was more a subtle hint than evident spread of flavor. One thing I noticed that day was staff not very happy. I almost never saw anyone smile that day amongst their waitress and waiters that serviced that day. I felt the vibe from staff was a bit either too focused and serious that they forgot to smile or just unhappy. I've been to hart house before few times for lunch and dinner and had fond memories but this experience while was alright, it also felt a bit lacking.

Four of us enjoyed an excellent dinner at Hart House last night. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. The prix fixe menu consisting of three courses was of good value as the portions were ample and the meals were very tasty. The kale Brussels sprouts salad, the hummus with lamb, the duck confit, and the London Fog creme brûlée were all delicious. The restaurant itself is lovely inside and the atmosphere is great. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing experience. The kale salad in particular is incredible as is the new lamb and hummus dip. The bacon and avocado brioche was creative and delicious. Lunch was well paced and the service was exceptional as always.

Beautiful setting, but the sevice was a little slow, and when the food arrived it was not hot. The sevings were quite small for eggs benidict, as that it looks like they use very small eggs. I still tipped as that the staff was very friendly.

We had Caesar salad to start, the seafood pasta for the main and the AMAZING pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. All absolutely delicious! Overall it was an excellent, very enjoyable experience.

Terrific experience. Food and service was an easy 5 star. Beef tenderloin and halibut was great... the lemon tart was very good. Only issue we had was lack of parking at the Hart House Restaurant as the Burnaby Village Museum was having some sort of event and noticed people parking at the restaurant and walking over. Not the restaurants fault but just those inconsiderate people. I believe the parking is for restaurant patrons only.

I love this place. They are sooo welcoming and were able to accommodate my allergies in a respectful way. I had a great meal and didn't feel like I missed out on anything. I even had dessert! Keep up the good work!

It was a nice dining experience in a Tudor Revival style home build in 1912. The food was excellent and the environment pleasant. Though it was Friday evening, it was not jam packed with people like at many other restaurants in the area. Without any alcohol, three appetizers, two main courses, deserts and tea ran about $200. The staff, of course, deserved a healthy tip. If you are looking to have a quiet dinner in an upscale location, check out Hart House.
