Something really special happened when I took my seat in the sun today. The music was really relaxing.
Soup was fantastic. Lightly toasted bread.
Seriously good experience all around.

I’ve ordered from here twice because the photos of the soufflé pancake looked amazing, and I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, both times it was very disappointing. The taste did not match the appearance at all and was not what you’d expect from something presented that way.
The strawberry yogurt smoothie was overly sweet, and the stroopwafel tasted like a very ordinary packaged biscuit rather than something fresh. The only item I actually enjoyed was the egg and avocado sandwich.
I gave it a second chance hoping for a better experience, but the soufflé pancake missed the mark both times.

My close friend recommended this place, and we decided to try it out together. It was my first time having fluffy soufflés, and they were so good—super light, airy, not overly sweet, and packed with flavor. I absolutely loved them.
We also ordered two drinks. I can’t remember the exact names, but I believe one was the Hiel signature latte and the other was an Einspänner. Both were very yummy and not overly strong, which made them easy to enjoy.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and I also live very close by, so it’s definitely convenient for me. One small thing to note is that the tables were a bit dirty when we sat down. I think it would be great if staff could check and wipe tables more often after each customer leaves.
Overall, it’s a lovely spot and I’d still recommend giving it a try—especially for the soufflés. Yummy!

Great lattes, really good food.
I’ve been Hiel Café, I think once before, but I didn’t remember it the way it was today. Mind you it is Christmas time. The place has a really a lovely atmosphere. People were chill and enjoying the Christmas music. I ordered my food and then sat outside because it was such a warm day and I had been walking. The coffee was absolutely spot on for taste. The carrot cake was scrumptious and the icing was incredible. I’ll be back.

This was my first time trying a souffle pancake and it did not disappoint. I ordered the matcha souffle pancake and was so happy it wasn't too sweet! The texture is amazing; very fluffy and light and the topping is as well. Highly recommend!!

Such a great little cafe! I enjoyed a matcha latte here, it was so good paired with an excellent ambiance. Hiel cafe is also fully decorated for the holidays. Love the winter spirit! Loved my time here and would definitely come back.
