Hiro Sushi(Best Price on Website!)

the quality has gone sharply downhill. the ingredients taste 2-3 days old. on top of that they advertise shenyun. i’ll take my business elsewhere

I have been going to Hiro sushi for 8 years. Reliable good food, quiet low key environment. The yakisoba is piping hot and rolls excellent. The robot server is an awesome addition. Must see, kids love it.

Asked for salmon avocado roll with wild sockeye salmon for take out. I paid for the extra add on for the wild salmon and when I opened it they didn’t have what I ordered.

Is good price for the all day super special, the sushi is good quality and taste for 17.95 and miso soup I really enjoy, there’s no music o background so is a little boring, but the place looks clean and organized

This evening I ordered from Hiro Sushi as my go to spot was closed. I ordered 1 order of spicy tuna, I order of spicy tuna rolls and a green salad, not super adventurous but ordered off the top.

I was given a time of 15 minutes for the order to be ready which pleasantly surprised me. When I arrived to pick up my order I noticed the atmosphere was good, there were a few tables occupied by customers and only three people working, The owners/employees were busy.

I paid for my food and left the establishment. I love to support small businesses and am quite loyal once I find a place I like. When I opened up the containers it was not quite what I expected.

The tuna rolls were fat and the portions were large. However, the spicy tuna was also large portions but looked as though the tuna was pulled apart by hand. The sauce was over portioned and completely overpowered the taste of the tuna. It looked like someone mashed the fish in the container, poured the spicy sauce over top and shook the box.

When I opened the salad, again the portions were large, but looked as though the base of the salad was prepped by tearing pieces of lettuce by hand. The bottom of the container had a pool of water on the bottom. I assume from washing the lettuce.

Thw overall taste of the food was okay. Prep and presentation was far less than desirable. Not something I would expect to pay that much for (cost me 30$ with a tip) considering what I got.

I did read the other reviews which echoed similar things that I noticed. However there was a decent amount of people whose experience was much different than mine.

As of now I would give the restaurant 3/5. Would I go back? Not right now. I might go back and try it in the future again.

The food was good but the waitress made this a truly miserable experience. From the get go, we were nothing but kind towards her. However, with every passing moment it became clear that kind behaviour would not be reciprocated. I asked a simple question about portion size and was met with such a rude response it baffled both my friend and I. It was awkward every time she left the table. We were taken aback by her constant rudeness, and lack of proper service. She handed us one small bowl of miso soup with one spoon to start with, for 2 people. Overall, my friend’s celebratory dinner was ruined by the unwelcome atmosphere. Sad part is, the food was decent but could not be enjoyed due to the sheer attitude and disrespect from the waitress throughout.

I’m a regular costumer and I always order my salmon sushi w/ mango and added some cream cheese and it’s delicious! Also tried the sashimi rice bowl and is very tasty, I really recommend the place!
