The place has a narrow frontage but it’s actually quite a large restaurant as it stretches way back. It’s comfort food. Had the rice noodles with beef and peppers. Tasty, large portion that is on par with quite a few Richmond and Vancouver joints. Also had the stewed beef brisket and tendon with white carrot. The amount of beef and tendon inside was actually half decent but it seems disproportionately little given the phenomenal amount of white carrot. Tendon and white carrot were way undercooked. I can’t say I enjoyed this.

In summary it’s hit and miss here. If you dont stay nearby, the food is unlikely worth the drive.

I've ordered takeout a few times, with mixed results. I highly recommend the imperial concubine chicken. I’ve ordered it a few times without getting upset, but the quantity may vary. The porridge is also quite good. Sweet and sour pork is also good, but Mapo Tofu is not Mapo Tofu...it's just thickened with some chopped colored peppers and soy sauce. The Scallop Fried Rice has no flavor, and the Jiejie Slippery Chicken Clay Pot is not the kind of chicken with bones, but pure chicken breast with a lot of onions.

Dim sum always great here. Dumplings are tasty and above average size. Typical expected service .. not overly friendly but efficient. Prices are reasonable

Opened for breakfast at 10am, went for early #dimsum before work. Nothing fancy, basic service, no elaborate decor, had lots of parking but that might be as if not sleeping people would be working during time went. Food was ok considering there is not much selection in this part of town. Some items were bland while other items a little salty for my liking.
There was so many seniors here even if their menu items was quite limited.

We have made several inquiries with the manager and waitress concerning the delay in receiving our food. Regrettably, their attitude suggests a lack of concern. The wait of nearly two hours is subpar service.

I sincerely hope the business owner takes this matter seriously and addresses the issues with service. This level of treatment is unacceptable

I am deeply disappointed with our recent experience at your restaurant. We arrived at 6pm, ordered promptly, and waited two full hours before receiving our fried rice. Despite multiple follow-ups, the service was painfully slow.

What made this even more upsetting was seeing other tables, who arrived much later than us, being served first. It made us question whether we were being racially profiled. Several other guests noticed this and agreed that we should have been served earlier, especially given the fact that we had been waiting longer.

We have always loved coming here for your dim sum, which is why we chose this restaurant for our Thanksgiving dinner. However, this experience has left a bitter taste and completely ruined the evening. What was meant to be a special occasion turned into one filled with frustration and disappointment.

Who ever was in charge this night needs to be reviewed and proper compensation with the upsetting experience.

I am Not one to leave a bad review but I want to bring light to the owner.

I FELT WE WERE RACIALLY PROFILED.
IT WAS MY FIRST TIME WITH FRIENDS FOR THANKSGIVING BUT THE FOOD SERVICE WAS SO BAD THAT WE HAD TO WAIT FOR TWO HOURS JUST FOR FOUR DISHES. WE FOLLOWED UP SO MANY TIMES BUT THERE’S NO SYSTEM.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I ordered three dishes. I had to wait an hour for the egg tart to be served. If I didn’t want it, just ask for a refund. The SB waiter said, “Are you in a hurry?” Oh, what do you mean, I don’t want it? If you are in a hurry, do you have to prepare this egg tart all day? In the middle, I asked twice for the egg tart that was finally served, and it was served an hour later! This is the restaurant where I have encountered the worst service attitude of the waiters when I go to restaurants in Metro Vancouver. "Cuiyuan Palace" originally did not want to leave a tip, but I am also a waiter, so I reluctantly gave 12%, which is considered my utmost kindness. Got it! ! ! The service attitude is really bad! The food is okay, but the service attitude is no different from that of public toilets!

Came here bc my family chose it after a family funeral. Food was really good compared to the restaurant Congee Noodle House, which is near where I live. Being vegan [my fams agree too] I think that their Spicy Deep Fried Bean Curd is quite delicious similar to the above restaurant. I would enjoy coming here again if in the neighbourhood, but it's too far from where I live. Their service is good n they did apologize for not getting us what we ordered sooner but they were clearly slammed. Lots of big tables were filled up with ppl.
