Worst fast food experience in a long time. First for fries order wrong, followed by frozen cheese curds on soggy fries. With so many other places around, no one should eat there.

Had a craving for a hotdog so stop by and Ordered basic all beef dog. The bread was not fresh !! How on earth can you mess up something a basic as a hotdog??? The sausage was great but the bread tasted like was few days old. Added cabbage to it and it did not taste fresh either.

Absolutely awful service. It took a total of 27 mins for me to recieve my food. It was beyond painful to just watch the sloths move behind the counter. No concept whatsoever of the mile long line up of people waiting to order. No friendliness, smiles or apologies for the wait. And to top it off the food was just pure garbage. Bun SO old and dry and meat extremely salty. Save yourself the time and money and find some where else to eat in the food court.

I was excited to try the Japadog. But unfortunately, it was disappointing. The hot dog buns were too dry, and the sausages were a bit tough. And it tasted more normal than I thought.

The hot dogs, while still yummy, aren’t as legendary as I remembered when Japadog was at the height of its hype.
Even the kurobuta (black boar) meat wasn’t as juicy as before. Juices used to run down your chin, but now it felt drier than Costco hot dogs. The extra teriyaki beef on the yakiniku rice was also dry and hardened, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt as it was the evening when I visited, and the beef could’ve been left out for the majority of the day (on a heater).
I’d still recommend giving Japadog a try if you’ve never had it before. Especially the yakiniku with its generous scoop of rice and well marinated beef on top of the pork sausage.

Thank god they finnaly put the japadog on a food court 🙏🙏 Japadog it's a Vancouver institution by now and everyone that visits Vancouver must try it as much as is humanity possible. Excellent service and the food keeps people coming back. Sadly they often don't have certain foods I wanted Japanese curry and they were out of it and that really sucks.
They had some good food but my son bought a hot dog and the bread was burn and it also taste like a burn bread. For me I got chicken rice with a type of sauce half of plate was sauce other half was rice and 2 small pieces of chicken. I don’t really recommend.

2nd time I tried this place. Thought I would try it again as the 1st was not good. Order came so fast. Reason probably is that it had been sitting there for awhile as it came lukewarm anyway not a fan. Over rated

Do not get the curry rice with tonkatsu. This is the rice we got and as a comparison the photo they advertised for this dish. The staff when I asked them about it, she said it’s the same (regular size) except it’s cut up into small pieces. If so, I got 4 small pieces and they advertised it as 3 long pieces. Really? That is the same? Interesting……. 🤔
