Japadog it's a Vancouver institution by now and everyone that visits Vancouver must try it as much as is humanity possible.
Excellent service and the food keeps people coming back. Sadly they often don't have certain foods I wanted Japanese curry and they were out of it and that really sucks.

I missed the good old days when Japadog was still on a hotdog cart at some corner of Robson Street. The food was made out of passion, and it was the best hotdog in the Lower Mainland.
But not any more. I taste mayo and mayo and they are very slow. And i don’t like the Takoyaki deep fried. It is just a fast way to reheat bad food from the central kitchen.
It is eatable but i am disappointed. Customers that gives five-stars never tried...

Even the kurobuta (black boar) meat wasn’t as juicy as before. Juices used to run down your chin, but now it felt drier than Costco hot dogs. The extra teriyaki beef on the yakiniku rice was also dry and hardened, but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt as it was the evening when I visited, and the beef could’ve been left out for the majority...
