Dear JJ Bean team,
I’d like to share feedback about a disappointing experience I had at your café around 4pm on Saturday, September 13.
When I asked a staff member if there was any pre-made cold tea, they looked at me like I was asking something completely unreasonable, then checked the fridge and said, “It’s purple, so maybe hibiscus?” but didn’t seem certain. Since there was no clear answer, I asked if they could steep a regular tea and add ice.
I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes with no update or acknowledgment. When I finally asked another barista about it, the first staff member nonchalantly said, “Yeah, that’s it,” and the second person just added ice and handed me the drink—without any apology or acknowledgment that it had been sitting there.
Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and professionalism left me with a very negative impression of the service.

Love this place! Friendly and welcoming staff, delicious pastries, and most importantly, the coffee is excellent.

I used to frequent this café, but I had several unpleasant experiences due to the unprofessional behavior of one of the female staff members. She would mock customers' names while conversing with other employees, and even made inappropriate jokes involving those names in front of customers.

When a customer asks for Salsa and you packed hot sauce, dont tell them salsa is packed inside and give the weirdest look and gesture. Know the difference between those 2. Very simple..

Ive popped by this location numerous times and I noticed this location is quite slow at making drinks. I prefer JJ in Burnaby Heights for the speed and service. I dont get much service at this location.

Have been here many times since their opening, and while their coffee and food is great, their customer service has really declined. What’s with the sass and snarkiness!

The service was terrible. I arrived at 7:10 P.M. and waited about five minutes before finally being served. I asked for a “Fresh” coffee, but they gave me the last bit left in the container. Right after, the employee threw away the rest, leaving me with no option to ask for more or have it replaced. The coffee I got was cold, sour, and completely undrinkable.
Honestly, the staff’s indifference doesn’t even matter to me — what matters is that a well-known brand, which promotes its “Fresh” coffee, would serve something so awful. I wasted my money, and it’s unacceptable that quality and freshness are not guaranteed until closing time.
Fortunately, just a 10-minute walk away, Waves Coffee offers great service and truly fresh coffee all the way until closing.

Probably the weirdest or worst run coffee shop for customer service.
Order a drink, you can hear the staff chatting and judging your order.
Also, order a drink. They don’t know how to make a drink on the menu so they’ll offer something else. But make you a drink of lesser value then the one you ordered and paid for. And the payment machine still asks for a tip. WOW

It happened one time that it was too rushed for me to wait for the order, I called in and ordered a sandwich and told the manager to heat it up for me before head and he said yes. and I would pay right away in ten minutes. When I got there, they did not heat the food for me, I had no breakfast at all that day until 4pm when my busy work was finished. Really disappointing

Tried the peach cruffin at JJ Bean and it was so dry I thought I’d accidentally bitten into a rolled-up parking ticket. It crumbled like my hopes and dreams. If you’re looking for hydration, make sure you get two coffees.

I love popping into JJ Bean at Metrotown Station Square, especially when I need a solid place to study or meet up with friends. The space is bright and airy, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light and it creates a really inviting ambiance for focused work or chatty get‑togethers :)))
