Latte is pretty good. I bought a bag of beans, La Andrea, planning on making my pour over. It looks like Medium Roast. When I opened the bag, it smelled like......... nothing. Once I ground it, the very woody smell came out. During my extraction, I couldn't smell anything except the wet grassy flavor came out from my dripper. Once I put it in my cup, I sipped it, no acidy, no sweetness, only the burned wood style bitter. I am pretty sure it might taste better if the beans were roasted from the popcorn machine.

We ordered a Sanwich Tuna Melt and a Morning Glory Muffin. Sanwich was so tasty with nice surprised, some pickles and the muffin ingredients were so rich with lots of nuts and shredded carrots!!
We greeted by all friendly, smiley staff and the shop was clean and happy to enjoy there!!

I've been here to this location about 6 times. Too many ppl sitting on their own on laptops, taking up tables while they sit for hours. Yesterday, a young woman next to us had her speaker on her phone very loud while she watched videos. We had to move as it was too loud to converse. Staff never said anything to her. After we moved, we could still hear her video. If they had a time limit, there would be seating for ppl who come in for coffee and food. We left 3 times previously as no seating available due to ppl on laptops. Good and food and a nice bright location.

i got the matcha latte and it was very disappointing for the price. barely anything there, the sugar in there was kinda gross too. otherwise, atmosphere was fine, service was good.

I legit think the big guy that works there hates his life. like a effin robot anything else anything else anything else .calm down like let us look at the menu. Get the help you need man.

This morning, I went to JJ Bean with my family to buy coffee and snacks. We bought 2 Americana misto and a blue barriers capcake. There was a long rope for the capcake and when I showed the rope to the officer, I received the answer "Let's give you a free coffee". Neither an apology nor an explanation. no. Good luck in your service and business life at JJ Bean, which we visit twice a week.

Big fan of the Powell JJ - but this place, despite having great coffee and decent food has the most apathetic and non-caring staff of any JJ I’ve been in. I said hello, thank you, please etc etc and both the cashier and barista didn’t make eye contact or say anything other than ‘anything else?’ Didn’t even ask if its for here or to go. I felt like they had the same friendlyness as Canadian customs officials.. a greeting (even just a ‘hi!’) would have been nice instead of giving off vibes I was inconveniencing them for buying a $8 orange juice..
Great coffee spot! I came here one morning the line was 7-8 people long but it moved quickly with 2 cash registers open. I ordered an iced latte and the double smoked bacon & egg breakfast bagel. Order came up quickly. There were plenty of tables available despite being the morning rush. The latte was prefect, not too sweet. The sandwich was exactly what I wanted, nice and toasted. They are very efficient and move through the crowds very quickly. Overall very happy with this place, would definitely come back again!
Parking: There is a parking lot in the back with plenty of spaces as well as street parking.
