Got a large latte and a hot chocolate. Both were absolutely low quality and bland specially the latte. The girl who served us on this Sunday evening at about 630 was like she just had a fight with someone and wanted to release her energy on us. Rude, snappy and apparently careless.
Would absolutely recommend to avoid such random places like this.

Visited this location 4 times because of the quality of expresso we received the first two days. Beautiful creme, full bodied smooth taste. Love the notes of this locally roasted bean. Unfortunately the last two days didn't meet the expectations. There was a different barista on the weekend and the difference was taste-able. Otherwise great location with awesome snacks.

Their availability of pastries is very inconsistent. The pastry case is usually very empty until later in the morning.

This is one the busiest cafes on the street but the tables are often occupied by people on their laptops during the day so the turnaround is slow. If you are looking to enjoy a coffee inside it may be challenging to find a space during peak periods.
The coffee is pricer than most, but the pastries are very good.
Unfortunately the service is not that great. I've been here several times and the staff was dismissive and unfriendly. Not even a polite greeting or a thank you as they chatted among themselves. Hopefully they will work on the customer service.

Great coffee and chocolate zucchini muffins (although they often run out). Solid service. Also, bring back the vegan bulgogi beef wraps!
Owners - this location (Hastings) desperately needs a makeover. The Commercial Drive, Main, Powell, and Capilano Road locations are all so dope. The atmosphere and decor in this one are just so bland. Also, there are never enough seats.

This is my favourite coffee shop and I so wish we had one in Alberta. The prices are quite steep but I love every drop of their coffee when I visit. My dad and his partner come here every day. It is part of their daily routine at 86 and 84.

One of the consistently busier JJ Bean locations, this one is great in terms of layout and service. Their baked goods are quite good.

The best cafe in the lower mainland in my humble opinion! Delicious pastries and drinks. My go to is a London Fog and any of their muffins. Recently tried their cheddar chive scone and Earl Grey scone and they were 20/10. Love JJ Bean!!
