I just ate with a friend here. The food arrived very quick which was the only positive. The food tasted very mediocre, and only 1 server was friendly. I flagged down a server, she looked at me and acknowledged me with a nod, walked away and disappeared.

I asked for my cheque and a server told me you have to pay at the cashier, weird. Never coming here again. AVOID

My partner and I went there and we were the all of half an hour with no eye contact when they dropped off the water, didn't come back to check on us when we were ready to order. So we didn't even order. And we got up and left and went somewhere else.

Grandma and pa go on a date and eat brunch and bring sushi to surprise your kids and/or grandkids for dinner 🥰🥳🥳.

If you want value for your dollars and skip dinner preparation for the night, then you should try out this place.

You should be able to feed 2-3 person for around $30 (includes tips at 10% and 5% GST). It is especially great if you are senior 65+ (bring your ID if you are blessed with a younger appearance)

How it works- All Day Mix & Match -
30 orders maximum for each person.

Monday to Friday
Each senior 65 and over $22.95 or
For age 4 to 64 $24.95
plus $3 take home fee plus 5% GST plus tips.
Holidays and weekends cost $1 per person extra.

Note: Although MOST order comes with 1 piece but make sure you add the number of orders and not numbers of pieces as 1 order of maki sushi like California roll comes with 2 pieces.

Highly recommended the Chopped Scallop Cone and Gomae Salad (cold spinach in sesame soy sauce) are my favourite but do check out their nigiri sushi 🍣 and others but I do recommend to order 1 piece first to explore your own favourites.

Warning ‼️ there is a 18% service charge added to the bill for parties of six or more - so maximum 5 person per table 😁.

Take out small & medium container and bag $.50 each. Large container $1 each plus tax. Extra $.75 for lemon or ginger.

There is another option if you order from their A La Carte menu and share the Mix and Match menu. The instructions are on their menu.

If you are looking for quantity, variety and value then check this place out.

Hope you have a great time sharing food and zero food waste. Tip more if their services is great 💕

Their food portion is cat food's portion.
Their service socks, even forget 2 dishes we ordered.
Deep fried shrimp tastes like left over from yesterday.

Terrible service and rude attitudes. Opted not to tip, and then was demanded to tip. Would not return.

I've been here years ago and it's gone downhill.

The saba oshi was too spicy and I don't understand why it was so sour - it tasted like pickled herring. I can only guess it's to cover the fishy taste. The tonkatsu was far too chewy but did come with salad, which looked yellowed. The oyster motoyaki was just ok. The shishamo karaage tasted great but had bad plating and looked oddly dark (I think the oil isn't changed often enough). I'd forgotten how much I like smelt.

Service was quite slow and clunky (forgetting multiple items, lack of water refills), but it was also a busy day.

The price is fine but there's lack of attention to detail in every aspect. It feels like they're running solely on mall foot traffic.

Definitely better Japanese restaurants out there.
My boyfriend and I used to come here often a couple years ago before they renovated. They have a new $22 "buffet" deal which was honestly not worth it.

The food portions were small and not filling, it depends on what you get but we were better off not going for the deal. A lot of the fried foods were mainly just batter. The salad was very watery and not dried properly. The meats were very tough ect.

We’ve been going to the guildford location, when this location was renovating, and the portions aren’t as good as they were before they renovated.

The manager was also very rude. Our server told us nicely that a side of rice would be free but the manager changed her mind last minute and charged us $3 per bowl. We also had to pay $2+ for taking out extra food, not including the price for a bag and a container. The manager was also not welcoming. She acted like we couldn’t pay for extra things. It was definitely an unwelcoming experience, considering she was nicer to other tables around us.

They have a ramen-only side restaurant around the corner. I waited 45 minutes for one bowl of original ramen on a Monday at 7pm. Restaurant was about 80% full and everyone had to wait too. Pic was taken at the half-hour mark. Food tasted fine.

I used to go there all the time, but now I no longer go. The waiters are still familiar, but the boss must have changed. In the past, you could order all you want, but now you can order 30 portions. The portions are all too small. They will go out of business soon.
