My partner and I are sad to hear of your closure. You have been serving an outstanding Japanese meals in the past ten years. When we showcased our neighborhood to out of town visitors a stop at your restaurant was always a must. We will sure miss you and wish you the best.

A hidden gem. Chef is an old school master, and his experience trickles down through the whole restaurant.

While the foods are exceptionally tasty, the servers are non-existence. It’s not even service I am looking for but rather have the basic needs like the soy sauce plate ready. Tbh it will be much faster if i can serve myself and pay to the till instead of waiting for them to do anything..

Not bad sushi by any means. But it's expensive for what you get. Given the choice, I'd rather go to Shen Sushi down the street.

Easily one of the best, lowkey sushi restaurants in the GVA. Tucked away and unassuming, but the quality is insane. I love this spot!

I can't believe we've lived so close for so long, and this was the first time we actually went! What a wonderful, small, traditional sushi restaurant. The prices were so reasonable for the quality of food - the salmon, roe, prawns, and tuna were incredibly fresh. I had been looking for a restaurant nearby with sashimi, and Kazu delivered. We already know what to order next (the squid must be good since it was sold out) - we can't wait to come back and try more, soon!

Superb sushi. I ordered wild sockeye salmon don. They put lots of quality sashimi. Wasabi was strong and real. Definitely coming back here. 20.50$.

Solid (real deal) Japanese place in Burnaby Heights, close to Safeway. The place has ridiculously short business hours (it's only open 15h a week), but it is packed. There's a reason why.Parking is available on Hastings, as well as the side streets. The dining area looks like something out of the 1990s. Nice and dated.Staff are friendly. The 2 chefs behind the sushi counter worked furiously. Didn't see them stop at all. Too many orders. The chirasi don I had was solid. Average sized bowl. They didn't skimp out on the sashimi, which was really nice. Basically watched the chef assemble the entire thing in front of my eyes. Quite fascinating to watch. I forget exactly what was inside, but there were 2 slices of most item (salmon, tuna, hamachi, tako, tamago). I remember there being only 1 ebi. There was also a scoop of masago and tamago. The wasabi here is strong than any other places. My nose lit up and I almost choked. Beautiful.Pricing is a bit more than average, but the quality and authenticity are there. I I'd gladly come back at some point whenever I feel like splurging. Recommended.
