It's actually quite hard to find a pan-fried (dry) hotpot restaurant in the area, so I'm very glad that I found this place. Not too many places sell dry hot pot so this was a good dup to the king pin in richmond. The food is just slightly more expensive than richmond and it cures the crave without going to richmond.We shared a small pot and added 2 extra toppings. Got dumplings to help us de-spicy but i would just get rice next time. Mild is the lowest spice and it is pretty spicy but that's just the charm of dry hot pot.
Surprised to see this place has bad reviews. Maybe the portions are really small for takeout? I’ve only eaten in the restaurant, and I find the portions fine. My wife and I will usually spend $55 for two people, and have a bit of food leftover to take home. Food tastes really good, flavourful with enough spices but not oily. The owner lady is also nice, but I think it takes a couple visits for her to warm up.
