I’ve tried many items from La Forêt over the years — the strawberry cake, strawberry croissant, filled donuts, sesame cruffin, and more. While everything is always beautifully presented, the taste has consistently been mediocre.
The one exception was the Red Velvet Oreo cake — I had it about three years ago and was genuinely impressed. It was moist, flavorful, and stood out as the only item I truly enjoyed and would have recommended.
Unfortunately, that changed with my most recent experience. I ordered the same cake two days in advance for a lunch, but when we cut into it, it was still frozen in the middle. My cousin even asked if it was an ice cream cake. The quality just wasn’t the same, and it was disappointing to see the only standout item lose its appeal.
We also tried the coffee bun, which was underwhelming and not worth the price.
Overall, La Forêt nails the aesthetic, but the flavors and consistency fall short — more style than substance.

While the food looks tasty, it can be a bit stale. My sandwich was soggy off the shelf, and I was not offered to toast it or warm it up. Not worth the price tag, really. The servers seemed way more interested in chatting with each other than in letting me know my drink was finished and sitting on the counter. The coffee itself tasted weak, unfortunately, but if you're going for sweet and milky, it should be fine. The biggest downside of this location is it sits between the skytrain and some workshop with loud machinery, so plenty noise around.

Grabbed the Smash Burgers. They were okay. The burger patty was not seasoned that well and might have been slightly undercooked. I would give the burger another chance and ask that it be seasoned and cooked more next time.
Hi, I went to pick up order and I tried to show my phone screen to the worker and snapped on me that why I would show him the name. We as a delivery person supposed to show our phone screen to one of the worker. The worker was unprofessional. The worker name is James.

It’s the best that le foret has this location for those who enjoy their food and drinks but don’t wanna struggle finding parking or seats at their flagship location. This area is nice and quiet tucked away between the industrial buildings. The cookies are thick and delicious along with their lattes

Beautiful cafe, but the quality of the food/desserts is not the best. We had a chicken salad, and while the salad itself was fine, the chicken was highly processed. However, a nice place to enjoy the atmosphere (though it is very noisy), and their waffles are tasty.
