I can’t say enough amazing things about this bakery and their incredible staff! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warmest smiles and genuine hospitality.

Their breads are absolutely delicious! I can't stop into a Whole Foods without picking up a baguette, loaf of sourdough or Tuscan bread.

If you go to their cafe all their sandwiches are soo good as well.

Mediterranean is a hidden gem in Vancouver! It’s a small bakery café. Their fresh bread is always perfectly baked, and the sandwiches taste amazing. You can tell everything is made with care. The café has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Definitely is well worth the visit. The sour dough is my fav and always pick up a loaf to go.

I’ve been a regular at Mediterranean Bakery for quite some time, and while I initially enjoyed their offerings, my recent experiences have completely changed my opinion of the place. Unfortunately, the customer service has become so poor that I’ve decided I will no longer be returning.

Over time, I noticed that the two women who usually work there started treating me with attitude as if my presence was a burden. Since day one, I’ve been grabbing the bread from the racks without any issues but after a while they’ve been consistently rude and unfriendly, which has made each visit feel increasingly uncomfortable.

Today was the final straw. I walked in with a smile, greeted them with a “good morning,” and picked a bread I was ready to buy. Instead of responding kindly, the woman at the counter immediately scolded me for choosing a bread from the racks rather than the display because they’re « specialized ». There was no sign indicating this, and the tone was completely unnecessary.

When I went to pay the bread, I handed her a toonie and a loonie, then began counting coins for the remaining amount. Before I could finish, she snapped saying no cash next time and that she prefers debit. I calmly explained I just wanted to use up some change I had at home, but she remained cold and dismissive.

To anyone considering this place: if you don’t want your day ruined, I highly recommend you go elsewhere. The bread might be decent, but the attitude and rudeness from the staff are absolutely not worth it. No one deserves to be treated like that over something as simple as buying bread. I’ve never in my life had interacted with a staff as rude as them. Sadly, this bakery has lost a loyal customer — and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Came here the other day to buy some stuff and did not have a pleasant experience. Firstly I noticed rats around the store and when I went to point it out I got brushed off. That was the first strike. Next one is when I went to pay I wanted to use some change I had and the lady wouldn’t let me use my change and wouldn’t explain why. Idk if it’s cause I only know English or what but yeah I didn’t have a good time with seeing rats and to buying my product

I normally don’t give out 1 star reviews but the cashiers here are not very nice.

I came here to buy bread and I’ve never encountered such rude & terrible customer service. This is unacceptable for such an establishment. Asian lady at the front would not allow me to pay using change. There is no sign that says no cash. She was demanding saying only $1 and $2’s. How do you run a business and deny currency which would pay for the item? Money is money. If math is hard for you and you can’t process change then maybe put a sign up. Will not be coming here ever again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely love this bakery!
I randomly found this place while driving around and I’m so glad I did. The moment you walk in, you get that warm, fresh‑bread smell that makes you want to try everything.

Their olive and rosemary sourdough was incredible—crispy crust, soft inside, and packed with flavor. You can really taste that they use good, organic ingredients, nothing feels heavy or processed. I also grabbed a small focaccia to take home and it disappeared within an hour.

The staff were super friendly and happy to talk about their breads and the grains they use. It feels like a little piece of the Mediterranean right here in Vancouver.

If you love fresh, organic bread and real flavors, this bakery is a must‑visit. I’m already planning my next trip back!

Though I’d give their sourdough bread a try and purchased a loaf from local Nature’s Fare.
Bread is very good and has great ingredients, except… it’s holier than thou!
Almost all of the slices have large holes in the middle!
Come on, don’t waste people’s money selling air bread!
