⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had such a wonderful experience at this Eritrean restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and spices that taste homemade and authentic. The injera was soft and perfectly tangy, and every dish we tried—from the stews to the vegetables—was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented for sharing.
Beyond the food, the hospitality really stood out. The staff made us feel welcome right away, taking time to explain the menu and making sure we enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to come with family or friends.
If you’re looking for authentic Eritrean cuisine and genuine hospitality, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back!

They made an amazing serving of Injera for my school function. I recommend them and will return to have good food with my family.

It's an injera place. If you've been to Axum, it's similar, but a couple of Axum's dishes are very very greasy, and we didn't experience that at Mesob.
Very clean, nice decor, a bit cluttered. Delicious food, friendly service, good prices. Unfortunately when our large group took our reserved table in on a Saturday evening, the place was absolutely packed and the kitchen must have been overwhelmed. As a result, we had to wait an hour after ordering for the food to arrive, which was not pleasant. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was just an unexpected situation and giving them 5 stars anyway--they were great in every other way. Will be back, but maybe on a weekday.

Excellent food, incredibly friendly staff, what more can you ask for?
Definitely worth checking out if you wanna try some Ethiopian food, the owners are a lovely couple who will bend over backwards to make sure you're taken care of.
As a testament to the quality and authenticity, it's always filled with Ethiopians too! Mesob is the real deal.

This is one of the best Ethiopian meals I’ve had so far! The portions were generous, and the staff and owners were incredibly friendly. The food had just the right amount of spice—not overpowering, but far from bland. The fermented bread had a perfect level of sourness that really boosted the appetite.
The samosas were a standout: crispy on the outside without being oily, unlike at some other places. I loved both the beef and lentil versions and honestly couldn’t decide which one I preferred. The restaurant itself was spacious and spotless, including the washrooms.
I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

I've been to this place three times, and I will surely keep coming back. As an Eritrean 🇪🇷, this restaurant is one of the top-tier spots in the Vancouver area for me. The food and service go above and beyond, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere truly makes me feel at home. Thank you so much for your amazing service!

I have been to many different Ethiopian restaurants and I can confidently say that Mesob is the best Ethiopian food in Vancouver. Everything tasted authentic and delicious. We go the Mesob Combo with extra portions of Tibs.

It had a unique flavor, but not quite to my taste. The injera was quite sour—probably something I’m not used to due to cultural differences. That said, the bread was incredibly soft, and all the dishes had very distinct and interesting flavors. The chicken dish was the most familiar to me and closest to what I’m used to. Go try let see what you guys think… the presentation of these injera/roti is awesome.

ordered the one-person Mesob combo, which was honestly more than enough for two, it was delicious. The bread had a noticeable tang to it, so if you’re a fan of sourdough bread, you’ll really enjoy it!
