I photographed a wedding here last year and from the panoramic vistas, to the elegant interiors, and the attentive event experts guiding the day, every moment feels special and well-curated. The food and cocktails are a hit with guests, and the flow from ceremony to reception feels effortless.

“Best Wedding Ever!!” We heard that from so many of our guests about our wedding at Mintara atop Burnaby Mountain, and we couldn’t agree more. Mintara had everything we were looking for, from an outdoor ceremony space with an incredible view and backdrop, to a private indoor/outdoor event space for a reception, dinner, and dancing. And the team at Mintara truly delivered. We couldn’t have asked for a better site manager to work with than Carissa Quan, who accommodated our special requests and treated us like royalty throughout the planning and the event day itself. And the entire team delivered top notch dishes for our reception, dinner buffet, and guest-favorite dessert bar. With this team around us, we were able to focus on being in the moment of this once-in-a-lifetime event, knowing our guests were getting the exceptional experience that we envisioned…spectacular sunset included. We give the highest praise of Mintara atop Burnaby Mountain, and the highest recommendation of the venue and team to anyone planning their special event! It truly was the best decision we made in planning our wedding!

We have so many lovely memories around Burnaby mountain park and Mintara! For our wedding, the venue was very stylish with a great sunset view over the city, and we used the rose garden nearby for the ceremony which comfortably fit 120 people. The food was a hit with the guests, and everyone raved about their dessert spread. We go back for anniversaries now and get little treats from them each year. Special place!

Excellent venue. Location, Location, Location. The weather cooperated with us back in September, and we got the best day of our lives with an amazing sunset to boot.

Everything was perfect right from the get-go for our wedding. From the initial meet-up, menu and wine pairings, and to the communication and keeping us in the loop, everything was spot on. Everything was seamless, even when we had minor changes on the day of our wedding.

We got married at Mintara on Burnaby Mountain in August 2025, and it was an absolute dream. The venue is stunning! The large windows let in so much natural light, creating the most beautiful atmosphere throughout the day.

From the start, Carissa and her team went above and beyond. She made sure we were taken care of at every step, answering all our questions and making the planning process feel so smooth. We chose plated meals, and the food was delicious, with plenty of options to customize too!

On the day of, the Mintara team continued to show incredible care and attention to detail. They even set aside plates for us from cocktail hour so we wouldn’t miss out. Not having to worry about those little things truly made the day even more magical.

If I could do it all over again, I’d choose Mintara again and again. Highly recommend this amazing venue and team.

We recently celebrated our wedding at Mintara, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, perched in a picturesque area overlooking downtown Vancouver. We were lucky to have a sunny day that allowed for a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the rose garden.

The interior design of Mintara is modern and elegant, it immediately caught our attention when we were exploring venues. But what truly made the experience exceptional was working with Carissa, the venue coordinator. From our very first conversation, her warm, friendly, and approachable personality made us feel completely at ease. She offered a competitive package and guided us through every step, from coordinating with the City of Burnaby to food selection and overall event organization.

On the wedding day, everything ran seamlessly. The outdoor seating was beautifully arranged, and the staff were professional, attentive, and organized. Carissa went above and beyond, checking in regularly, coordinating with other vendors, helping with our rehearsal, and even making sure we had food and snacks during our breaks.

Our guests were thoroughly impressed with the cocktail hour, appetizers, fine dining, and dessert options. The menu offered a wide and delicious selection, and Carissa even ensured leftover food was packed for guests to take home, minimizing waste. She also helped coordinate our cake-cutting ceremony perfectly.

Overall, we are deeply grateful to Carissa and the entire Mintara team for making our wedding day truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a breathtaking venue and outstanding service!

Had a fantastic dinner at Mintara up on Burnaby Mountain. The food was seriously good. We went with the 3 course set menu, which felt like a steal. I had the full rack of ribs (huge, delicious, and fall off the bone) and my wife had the striploin, which was cooked just right. Great value for what you get.

It was a clear night, so we had awesome views of the city skyline and could see the lights from downtown Vancouver. The service was top-notch - friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience better.

Would totally recommend this spot for a wedding or corporate event. Between the food, the vibe, and the views, it's a winner

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. I had my daughter’s wedding there in the Summer (2025) at the venue and the reception in the dining area and the staff (staff were beyond 5 star) food and service were excellent. Everyone says it was the best wedding they have ever been to, I would highly recommend this beautiful venue to absolutely anyone. Can’t wait to go back!

Dinner now being served starting at 4:30 pm. Reservation recommended. Get there first, you get a window view as they are undergoing renovations so some windows currently blocked.
We went with the three course menu. Salmon was good. Stripping was a nice medium rare. Delicious desserts, great selection of BC wines. Still an incredible view.

We've been to Mintara many times, always a beautiful view when the weather cooperates and its a lovely room.
We had a quiet dinner - choosing the set menu option. At $45 for salad, main and dessert you cant go wrong. We had the ribs and beef for mains, both were delicious.
Our server and bartender Tucey added to the evening with her recommendation from the drinks menu and for dinner. She helped make for a wonderful evening.

An aside, the deck reno isn't a huge impact on the ambiance, there are still great view tables.

We have been going to Burnaby Mountain Park for over 50 years and this was the Best Ever. The 3 course set menu was a great value for money and delicious. We shared each others Sirloin oven roast and the Truffles mushroom pasta, it was as good as Tuscany. Our server Tuccy was a delight making our anniversary dinner memorable.

We recently had our wedding here at Mintara, and it was absolutely perfect! Carissa and her team were phenomenal — they went above and beyond, exceeding all of our expectations. The entire planning process was smooth and seamless, with excellent communication from start to finish.

It was set to rain on our wedding day, but the team did everything they could to make our outdoor ceremony possible and to keep our guests comfortable, which meant so much to us. Their flexibility and dedication truly made the day stress-free and special.

Our guests also couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the space was and how delicious the food was. We chose the buffet style, and even 2 weeks after the wedding, our family and friends are still telling us about how amazing everything tasted!

Dinner was about to be served at my daughter’s wedding reception when we noticed this black bear outside helping himself to this families picnic dinner. He is now referred to as the wedding crasher

We tried their $45 three-course set. The appetizer and dessert couldn’t be chosen, but the flavors were okay. For the mains, my steak was too salty, and my partner’s salmon was overcooked, so overall the taste was just average. What made the meal special, though, was spotting a bear outside, which turned it into a more memorable experience.
