Incredibly deceptive marketing. We came for a celebratory brunch and there was a giant sign outside advertising “buy one get one” mimosa flights. They failed to clarify that the “get one” is literally just that, you get one little glass of strawberry lemonade mimosa. When going over the specials our waitress specifically said “buy one get one on mimosa flights, AND you get a free taster of the strawberry lemonade, so it comes with five mimosas”. Even if that wasn’t her intention that’s how we all understood it. No one should have to look twice to decipher a sandwich board. All four of us were deceived, definitely an extremely lame marketing ploy.We even had to ask to be served water 20 minutes in. Food took over 30 minutes to arrive, but the couple seated next to us 15 minutes after we arrived got their order at the same time. Gnocchi and poutine bowls were bland, hot sauce saved the day. Awkward check in as other reviews have mentioned, must wait outside. It isn’t my first time having OEB so I’m not sure if the quality has gone down or if it’s just this location, but I’ve had better quality food and service at the Marinaside location. Staff was unapologetic when we clarified once the bill arrived. I regret tipping.

Despite making a prior appointment, our party was made to wait for over 30 mins, even though there were more than five vacant tables visible. What was most frustrating was that we were eventually seated at one of these empty tables, which remained unoccupied throughout our wait. Very poor communication and coordination among the staff.

I love the virtual wait list option!! Definitely worth it especially since they were so busy. The food was great (short rib breakfast poutine). It was quite busy and we seemed to wait a long time for our meals… the server also seemed concerned with the long wait. The entrance is quite busy and a little disorganized and I found it weird that the high chairs were being stored right beside the toilet. I got the OEB gift card from Costco (pay $79.99 for 100 in gift cards) so that made it worth it!

Comfortable, cute and bright brunch place. Lots of creative things on the menu and tasted very yummy. I tried the crab benny and it tasted fresh and well made. Service was also pretty good, friendly waiters. Will be back to try one of the signature poutines next time!

We arrived at the restaurant around 12:20 pm on Sunday and were promptly added to the waitlist. The wait lasted about 17 minutes, but the service was fast and friendly. We initially wanted to order the 'Lobstar scramble,' but unfortunately, it was sold out. Instead, we decided to go with the 'Gold Digga,' which the staff mentioned was their most popular poutine, and the 'Banana Cream Pie French Toast.' Both dishes were okay, but nothing really stood out. I thought the 'Gold Digga' could benefit from some hot sauce, and it was great that they had four different options available. The 'Banana Cream Pie French Toast' came in a generous portion size, which I appreciated. However, the brioche, which is a crucial part of French toast, was just average, and there was a slight artificial taste from the banana cream on top.Overall, while I wouldn't say I loved the food, the restaurant had a nice brunch vibe, and I would be open to trying another location downtown.
One of my favorite restaurants for brunch with friends! Lots of delicious food options and drinks. Great vibe, service and location!

I finally got around to trying out this place and absolutely LOVED it. I tried the one toast, you toast and requested for a poached egg to be added. It was very delicious and I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu.I can hear on a Monday around 12:30pm and it was definitely a little busy but they still had some empty tables enough for more people to be seated right away. There was no line up. I think they do have a waitlist option on Yelp but I don’t think they take reservations so do keep this in mind

A fine place for great breakfasts and interesting dishes that aren’t too common elsewhere. Lobster and Shrimp Crepe is one of my go-tos if I go to OEB ?
