The soups are a bit too salty

I’ve noticed that the prices have increased quite a bit lately, and there have been a lot of changes to the menu—it feels a little different from what it used to be.
Some items that were previously included, like the self-serve fried rice, now come with an extra charge, which was a bit surprising.
Also, being asked to tip even though it’s mostly self-service left me a little confused.

I still appreciate the food, but I do miss how things used to be.
Hopefully, they’ll find a good balance again, as they’ve always been one of my go-to spots.

Wow - we just happened to be craving Korean food and was in the vicinity of this restaurant. The reviews got us in and they were not wrong. Food was excellent. The fried chicken dish is huge. 3 of us and we could not finish it (though we are not huge eaters) but it’s still bigger than normal. Server was very nice and very helpful. If we’re ever in the area again, we would go back just for the chicken.

I tried the Spicy Pork Don and the Spicy Beef Cream Udon at Zhu Sam, and both dishes absolutely exceeded my expectations. The spice level was spot on—just the right amount of heat to enhance the flavor without overwhelming it.

The pork don was rich, savory, and perfectly balanced with a generous portion of meat and rice. Every bite was packed with flavor. But the real standout for me was the beef cream udon—unbelievably creamy, juicy, and comforting. It was unlike anything I’ve had before (We couldn’t wait to eat so the pictures were rushed! They don’t do justice)

Can’t speak to the atmosphere as we did takeout!

Prices were very reasonable for the quality. I loved everything about this meal and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed their food. Lots of selection. We even ordered take home and they were delicious. The price is good too. We make it a point to visit them whenever we go to Burnaby. We are from Chilliwack and it was our son who introduced us to this place.

Over all experience is always amazing.

We tried soup and cheese flavor fried chicken, great taste! Definitely want to go and try other things on the menu!

Service is ok. Food is pretty good. I like the pot with octopus, pork, shrimp and pork intestine. The Creamy Udon is also very good

Free parking around on the street or limited parking at the back of the restaurant

It was our 1st time trying korean food and the servers were so nice they even tell us how to make an awesome bite!
