It’s been a number of years since I last visited Paul’s Sub Shop. What a nice and cozy, vintage-style restaurant! I have always lived in the area but never stopped by this place. The food portions are so generous and taste amazing! Mom is super kindhearted. Food seems overpriced but it’s worth the money. Got the grilled chicken sub/burger. The only downside is that it is CASH ONLY.
A friend of mine told me of this place several months ago but I only got around to it today, a little after it closed as it turned out. The elderly East European woman who runs the place came to the door and said it was okay to order something.I got a 6" ham and turkey sub which she made more like an 8". It was crammed with ham, turkey, cheese, tomatoes and onions and--it made me an instant fan of this place.The woman was kindly and charming and she sure as hell knows...
