I live in the area, came here about 3x pho taste really bad.

One of the 3 times, a chef came out of the bathroom with dry hands adjusting with his pants and belt, no hand washing for sure.

Another time, the chef was smoking in the back with all of the smokes came into the front of the restaurant. I’m allergic to cigs, my throat closes up...

Definitely disgusted with this place

It’s a good little hidden gem that I’m glad I stumbled on. The menu was pretty diverse and offered more than just the standard beef pho. I ordered a Bun bo hue with hot viet coffee. The soup was not too spicy, warm and flavourful. Really hit the spot on a cold morning. But i would’ve loved some basil and cilantro with it. I look forward to trying something different on the menu next time.

Decided to give Pho 101 a try. No wait for a table on a weekday evening. Soups are in the $14.95-$17.50 price range.

- Herbs - no basil was a red flag.
- Bun bo hue ($16.50) - broth was serviceable but unmemorable. Viet ham slices were fine, beef shank slightly dry.
- Pho ga dac biet ($16.95 large) - broth was okay but lacked depth.

Run of the mill Vietnamese food at P101.

Our family ordered the tasting box and wow what a feast! We were so impressed and the portions were amazing and yes we had lots of leftovers. Next time we will the banh mi sandwiches - must order 48hrs in advance and we will absolutely order again for the next fam jam.

I ordered their special “Mothers Day Box” which came with an assortment of food items. The box was a hit with the family. Fried chicken was crispy and well seasoned, salad rolls were fresh and well made, spring rolls were very good, and the crepes were excellent. Desserts (caramel flan) was also a nice touch! Will come back for a regular meal next time.

I went here for the first time yesterday to pick up my catering order. My husband & I decided to eat pho. I ordered the pho with beef balls&sliced beef. It was just okay. I think the broth needed more flavour. A good pho broth allows the chicken with the bones to steep for at least two - three days to allow all the flavor to absorb in the broth. I have had better pho so they just need to adjust it a bit with more spices too. I was also expecting to have Thai basil but they only gave bean sprouts & lemon instead of lime.We ordered the box of banh khot t & it was our first time.i loved how the edges were crispy! It came with the veggies & fish sauce & again honestly it lacked flavor!! I don't mean saltiness it just lacked flavor but I loved the texture of it! I would order it again & maybe tweak it myself somehow! Okay the last thing I ordered is the prawn salad roll, basic right? It should all be in the peanut sauce they give you, only again the sauce had no flavor at all! I've made that sauce before & believe me it never tasted anything close to it! It tasted like diluted water with just a brown coloring! The sauces is what makes the salad roll yummy & theirs was not . I'm just being honest. I've eaten in a lot of different types of restaurants especially Vietnamese. I do love their presentation of their catered boxes! I will come back to taste the other food on the menu but for now I do recommend them to review the flavors of the broth & sauces.

Very authentic Vietnamese taste. I had an excellent Com Tam Suon Ga Trung (grilled pork, grilled chicken, fried egg, and rice) dish. Probably one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver that I have been to so far.
