Our go-to place for ramen in Burnaby! I prefer the thick noodles - very nice bite!

I ordered Ramen with added egg for delivery. The egg was not added and the remedy offered was to eliminate the charge on the egg. If I wanted Ramen without the egg I would have ordered it that way. I order Ramen for the egg.

Came here because daughter wanted ramen for her birthday. Everyone was very disappointed. The place was pretty full on a Wednesday, and there was either too few staff or they were unattentive. Not sure which. Adult food took 40 minutes, but the kid's meal was ready in 20 minutes. Rather than serve the kid's meal, it sat there for an additional 20 minutes getting cold. When a 6-year old complains that the fries are soggy and cold, its a bad sign for the rest of the service and food. A single diner across from us finished his meal, and sat there for about 15 minutes waiting for anyone to pass by to give him his bill and pack his leftovers. He eventually got angry, went to the counter to get his own takeout container and paid before grumbling something and returning for his jacket. Minimum default tip on payment processor is 15%, adding insult. Never again.
Great flavour and attentive, kind service :)

I took my hungry teen here and he ordered the classic ramen with an add on of green onions and egg. I got the Vege Tantan ramen. Both were great and my son rated his 10/10. We were able to get a table right away at 6:45 on a Saturday night. Very tasty and I’m sure we’ll be back.
Vegetarian options: Two vegetarian ramen.

A quaint ramen place in Burnaby serving flavourful japanese dishes and specializing in different Ramen varieties. Had the karaage for appies. Then tried their Scorpion Ramen Level 1, and it didn’t dissapoint. The noodles had the right consistency served with rich broth, topped with meat and veggies. Opted to add on ajitama and extra chasu for my combo. We also ordered the taukemen, that had a seaweed broth profile. All dishes are tasty and freshly prepared as you order. Service was fast and efficient. Only tricky part is finding a parking spot.
Vegetarian options: They offer Vege Ramen option

My friend and I visited this restaurant, and he ordered a classic ramen. When he was nearly finished, he discovered a long hair in his noodles. We immediately brought it to the attention of the manager, expecting an apology or a resolution. However, instead of addressing the issue, the female manager returned and defensively insisted that their kitchen staff did not have long bronze hair.
My friend, who is bald and had been wearing a hat the entire time, even took off his hat to prove that the hair could not have been his. Despite this, the manager refused to take responsibility and continued to shift the blame onto us. To make matters worse, the noodles had a strong soap-like taste, which raised further concerns about their food quality.
I am extremely disappointed by the way the situation was handled. The lack of accountability and the manager’s terrible attitude were unacceptable. I will never return to this restaurant and will strongly advise my friends to avoid it as well. If I could give a rating lower than one star, I absolutely would.

I love the Chinatown location, but this location doesn’t taste the same. I ordered the spicy tsukemen. The broth was cold, and the noodles didn’t taste as good as they should be. The service was decent but not up to my expectations.

During a recent visit to the Burnaby location of the Ramen Butcher, I, along with two friends, sampled a variety of dishes from their menu. Our order included the spicy miso tsukemen, scorpion ramen, orange miso ramen, mini chashu don, mini spicy teri don, spicy gyoza, and karaage. While some dishes met our expectations, others fell short. We particularly enjoyed the spicy gyoza, spicy tsukemen, and mini dons, noting their great flavors and satisfying spice levels. However, the scorpion ramen lacked the advertised spiciness, and the karaage arrived undercooked. The staff promptly addressed the undercooked karaage issue, providing a replacement. As a group, we felt the ramen broth could have been richer and more savory.

No baby change table in restrooms or alternate space to change diapers. Toddler had a blowout and I had to walk across the street to change him at Chevon. For resturant that has kid friendly menu, this is a massive oversight. Lots of space in family restroom to install a change table.
Wait staff were unattentive at times. Had to ask several different staff to get our bill and pay.

Scorpion ramen and orange miso ramen. Both were delicious, fast service
Food is great, but parking is very limited, I wouldn’t suggest come at rush hour.

My family and I came here for dinner. We were lucky that we got a table right away. The restaurant has space inside, plus space outside (which is covered or that is extended from the restaurant). We were seated at this “covered” space outside the restaurant. Due to the cold weather, the restaurant included a big rectangular heater above our dining table but it was very unpleasant because the heater flew the heat air out and it was really hot flowing above our heads and faces. We requested to move inside as a few customers left. Luckily we got seats at the bar table. It was more comfortable.
Ramen Butcher was famous for tsukemen, so we ordered a tsukemen with cha shu, spicy tsukemen with chicken kaarage and one tan tan tuskhmen. We added green salad to go with the ramen. The green salad tasted a bit weird. Not sure if it was the sauce or something else. The presentation was not great. Based on the flavour and presentation, it lost to the one from Horin Ramen on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver. The one from Horin Ramen tasted excellent with different varieties in the dish, plus its presentation was beautiful even though it was a simple dish. Regarding the tsukemen, the sauce or broth was quite liquidy. Not like a good real tsukemen that I used to have at other ramen restaurants.
The customer service was fine. They served like other restaurants. No complaint about the customer service. We all felt the Ramen Butcher in Chinatown was much better.
