Just left Ricky's Cafe in Burnaby. First time ever and I have a feeling not the last. Saturday lunch time very busy but was seated immediately. Maria K was our immaculate server, with the smile on her face , constantly making sure that everything was fine. Food was delicious, huge portions. Incredible menu, great happy hour options and good prices. My partner noticed in order to try few more items on the menu, we will have to come back few more times. Thank you Ricky's for great lunch.

One of the best places to get breakfast in Brentwood! The portions are big for pancakes and omelettes and the waitress had us quickly seated during a busy period. Overall a very delicious breakfast and wide selection of options for all times of day.

Excellent breakfast, staff were efficient if not perhaps a bit abrupt. They were quick and generous with coffee refills. Establishment was clean, food was well prepared and hot, coffee was good. Easy to recommend them, I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I find myself in that neighborhood again.

I went to place an order today at the Brentwood location and waited over 10 minutes at the cashier with no assistance. All the staff saw me standing there, clearly waiting to order, but no one acknowledged me—no greeting, no “we’ll be right with you,” nothing.
The person next to me mentioned he had been waiting 10 minutes as well, just to pick up his order. He was originally told it would only be 2 minutes. Still, no one came to update him or even apologize for the delay.
The food is great, but honestly, the staff and customer service at this location are terrible. Really disappointing experience.
I had a great experience at Rickey’s Cafe! The place has a cozy and casual vibe — perfect for breakfast or brunch with friends or family. The menu has lots of variety, from omelettes and burgers to delicious French toast and hearty soups.
I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich with French onion soup, and it was absolutely delicious — warm, cheesy, and super satisfying. The portions were generous and everything came out hot and fresh.
A big shoutout to the staff as well — they were friendly and welcoming, although service was a bit slow during the busy morning rush. Still, they did their best to keep things moving.
Overall, Rickey’s Cafe is a solid spot for a comforting, tasty meal. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for classic diner-style food done right!
