My wife and I enjoyed the Saboten Set. The food was tasty. The Kiosk is in the Brentwood Mall Food Court. There is lots of seating. Public restrooms are available nearby. Service was good and the ambiance is nice.

don't buy that katsu sandwich i felt so disappointed getting that container. plus it was like 10 dollars for one and the portion is super tiny it was gone in just a few bites. there was nothing else in there too no cabbage no tonkatsu sauce literally just pieces of bread and a katsu DONT GET THEIR KATSU SANDWICH i bought it for two people and it was 20 smth dollars u can get better delicious big portions of food with that

Ordered for lunch when visiting brentwood. My friend said this is very famous brand in Japan, but when we got the food, the meat was okay but the portion was too little and the quality of presentation was very low. Not sure if I would recommend to anyone.

Saboten is like dating a tokyo girl. I date many in Japan and Hong Kong, all very good experience. But this brentwood mall food court location... she have different personality.
In Japan and Hong Kong, Saboten very consistent, like a good girlfriend. But this mall location is like same girl become crazy after move to Canada. Maybe weather change her mood?
Food quality go up down like Vancouver house price - no logic, just surprise every day. Sometimes good tonkatsu, sometimes I wonder if kitchen angry with me for something.
Staff still bow and smile nice, but food mood swing like woman during difficult time. Evening discount very smart - they know quality not stable, so cheaper price when sun go down.
After many visit, I learn lesson: same restaurant can be different like twin sister. One marry good man, other move to mall and become complicated.
Will recommend to friend who need education about disappointment, Canadian style.
1 star because in Japan was 5 stars, but this location make me miss homeland cooking.

Pleasantly surprised by this food court joint - thought it was restaurant quality. Light, crispy katsu and the curry was tasty though a little light in flavour. Pork was better than the chicken. Overall would return. The food court itself is beautifully designed too.
Excellent tonkatsu for a food court meal. The dinner for 2 deal made it a very good valued lunch.

Poor experience at the Brentwood Burnaby location on July 26 at approximately 11:20am. I wanted to get the buy one get one half off deal, but the cashier said I cannot use Amazing Brentwood gift cards to pay. I had to buy a single item to use the gift card in this case. It's a strange policy since the gift card is a form of payment. I did not ask but I wonder if you have to pay by cash in order to access that buy one get one half off deal! Will update pending response from the business.

Everytime I crave for affordable and freshly made tonkatsu, this is my go-to place. They even have the buy one take one promo for 50% off when I ordered. All the elements of the dish including the condiments, soup, ahredded veggie and of course the deep fried meat compliments each other for that perfect meal combo. You can opt to order over the counter or use their self-serve station.

As follow the recent review I agreed as well. The present manager Young , as a team leader I think she has no quality to maintain the store properly, she has no discipline , she hasn't focused to his team members, as he explained she's so much rude to his team member especially who are came from South Asia. That place is racist , not a single people from South Asia work longer here. Because of her behavior. I ordered from Uber and I found stale food several time. Specially the mornings time, it's such a disgusting I feel. Owner should take step about her. because everyone can saw the rating as well.
