They start the year off strong and start slacking the further time passes. Today for example, as I got my pasta made they rationed me to 20 penne noodles. After asking for a couple more, he refused and forced me to wait 10 extra minutes to get a couple more noodles. :/ paying like $30 a day I shouldn’t be rationed.

There are not as many types of food as expected, and the environment is too dirty, but the place is spacious and bright.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a disabled parking space, but there is no wheelchair-friendly path, and the parking space is some distance from the restaurant.

This is an ayce/ all you care to eat place. Good place to lounge, study, and get stuff done. Lots of different food stations (sandwich, sushi, salads, bowls, grill, pasta, pizza, burgers) to try. Make sure you go early so you can try all the options because some items, once they're gone, they don't refill them. There's also soup, fountain drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, pastries.

Would not visit this place again, you could spend your $19.62 in any restaurant down the mountain that serve better food quality and give you better satisfaction. This place use very cheap and low quality noodle and beef. I only had one bite, then threw the entire bowl out. It was the worst fried noodle I ever had. The dessert area is a disaster. I wouldn’t even eat/try their dessert if someone offered them for free. I never seen gelo presented in such a disgusting way. I suggest those who run this dining commons to go to Thailand resorts & hotels and learn how to improve and properly run a buffet restaurant.
I would rather this place be a food court than a buffet restaurant.

Overly expensive meal plan compared to the mostly very average quality of food.. However the atmosphere and service is phenomenal.

I’ve visited SFU Dining Commons twice in one week and returned a third time with family and friends. The food quality is what you’d expect—simple and student-friendly—but the atmosphere and service truly stand out. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with good company.
While the food is not exceptional, the overall experience makes it worth a visit. If you’re on campus or nearby, it’s definitely worth trying!

Great variety. Great value for money. Kind, friendly staff. Some food items can be a hit or miss. Highly recommend you try: Vegan pizza, grilled chicken burger (add lettuce, toppings, sauces at the salad station), hot French vanilla coffee and cold iced tea.
