Such a lovely place for date night! The Lasagna and Pesto pizza were phenomenal. We will Definitely be back :)
The food was excellent! Tasty and nicely presented. The server seemed inexperienced. They were friendly but forgot some important things like asking if we would like dessert. I had noted on the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary but no mention of this was made by the staff.
Way too loud ! To many people crammed into a small place . Waited an 1hour for pizza while the kitchen staff made pizzas for take out Will go back to Commercial drive . Will never go back
The servers were amazing and the food was great. We dined on a Saturday night and luckily we had a reservation or we would never had got in the door. When we arrived at 6PM, the restaurant was almost full and there were several people waiting outside. When we left an hour and a half later, there were still people lined up to get in. My friend and I will definitely go back but probably on a week night when it should not be as busy. As we are both in our 80s we are a little hard of hearing so we found it to be a little too loud but that won't deter us from going back as we did enjoy the food and the service.
The salad came with no dressing and it was obviously the end of the lettuce. We were there for 1 hr and 15 mins before the pizza arrived. Its was overcooked and burnt on the bottom. I used to like this restaurant but I will not go back after last night
If you like thin and crispy pizza, this is the right place! Prices are fair and the service is just as expected. The pizzaiolo could put in a little more effort 😅 but overall, a good experience!

I was at my favourite fisherman’s Market today on Hastings street in Burnaby
I took a cab there and had to wait for a cab to go home. So I wasted time in the $Tree 2 doors down. And knew I was going to have to figure out another distraction. I was kind of hungry. I’d seen a restaurants of sorts right next door to the fish market. So I went in. It was clean streamlined. And I liked it. Someone came to ask if I’d like a seat. I explained I was waiting to catch a lift home. So he showed me a menu that I could lot read. My vision is deteriorating. And there no chance of me reading the menu u. He came back and asked if I’d decided. I explained I can’t see. He immediately took me to a table and brought a pitcher of water and glass and asked if anyone was joining me. I said, no so he cleared all but one place seating. He asked again what he could bring me. I then said. I don’t want a meal. But do you have salads. He said yes. We have Cesar salad. I stooped him and said. I will have that. And skip the croutons. And can you put it in a takeout box in case my my ride arrives. Of course. And before I knew it the brought me the best Cesar salad I’ve had in years. . In a take out bowl. I consumed more than half, and I called him back and asked if I could pay. As I need to get out to eat h for my lift. But I also need help. I said because of my vision problem, I need help with my cart full of fish I’d just purchased. This man was a delight. He took thst cart
And put out his hand to help me navigate the slight decline to the street and thanked me for the opportunity to serve me. I thanked him warmly and thanked him and the chef for the best Cesar salad I’ve had in decades. I will have another Cesar salad when I make the trek back to the fish market next time. Thanks for your kindness and great food.

I've been to the commercial drive location many times. There were a lot of inconsistencies at this location, I was very disappointed.
For the price you pay, the food was not great, and the portion sizes are small. The Caesar salad barely had dressing on it. It was almost $20! The parmesan looked like the stuff from the big shaker. We also got the eggplant rigatoni. This was a disappointment, it was bland tomato sauce with a few pieces of diced eggplant. It's topped with ricotta but it didn't seem to do anything for the dish..it didn't mix into the tomato sauce at all. Very one dimensional.
We also had the arugula and prosciutto pizza. This was good. I would get this again. But I'm not sure I'll come back. With money being so hard earned these days, I can't be spending it on places that are this inconsistent.
Service was very slow - they seemed short staffed for a Friday night. Even when it did slow down towards the end of our meal, the server was nowhere to be seen. They had a few big tables and they seemed to favor serving those. We didn't get anything unless we waved someone down. There were also lots of takeout orders.
Also, while the restaurant is beautifully decorated, it's extremely loud in there. It was hard to hear my partner who was sitting right across.
Overall, a letdown considering this brand is well known in Vancouver, and I've had good experiences at their other location. For these prices I could've had better and more consistent Italian food at a chain restaurant.

One of the worst take out experiences I have had in a very long time. I ordered 2 pizzas for take out for the first time at this location at 8:15pm for pick up at 8:45pm. I arrived at 8:45pm to pick up my order and was told it would be another 10min which was absolutely fine if it was ready at the 10min quoted time. It was another 18min after the 10min that I received my take out order (9:13pm) which by that time they were closed(9pm) and they only had a few tables in the restaurant. I had to inquire twice on my take out order to get an update. I would have been understanding if i was quoted the proper time or told that 8:45pm pick up was not doable when i ordered on the phone. They gave us a tiramisu on the house as an apology however that does not make up for the fact that the lack of communication made this take out order a very disappointing first experience with this restaurant. Which is a shame as the food wasn’t bad. I would caution anyone planning on ordering take out.

I ordered the Rigatoni Fume and all I can say is WOW!! I am pretty picky with Italian food as I grew up in an Italian household but when I tell you I was blown away I mean it!

I ordered the puttanesca for lunch and it was flavourless and the pasta was overcooked. Credit to the restaurant because on the server asked how it was. I said it was flavourless and the chef came out and said they were trying a new recipe (why? It’s a perfect classic when done right). I specifically mentioned that anchovies were needed in this recipe. It was remade and a little better, but still pretty flavourless. If there were anchovies in the second batch, I could not taste them.
