What a cute cafe!!
Everything was adorable.

I ordered a pistachio cream latte. I was expecting it to be sweet, but it was actually more like a cortado with pistachio cream on top. It paired so nicely with the cookie.
It was my first time having a stronger latte, and it was really tasty. I was so happy to be able to the drink !!!

The service was also very kind and friendly. Peaceful music was playing, which makes it a great place for studying or working.

I definitely want to visit again and try another drink!

Went to get Dessert. Bought 3 cookies. All rock hard/stale. The ginger cookie was super strong with ginger unlike any ginger cookie/dessert I've tasted, it was like real ginger. The lady was not fluent in English and mistaken our questions and we had to just awkwardly say okay to whatever she said to us. We went back immediately after because they were so expensive, $6 a cookie. The lady gave us 2 free items in exchange (cream puff things) and they did not taste good at all. The Ferraro Roccet option was not real Ferraro and when we asked for the Vanilla it turned out to have lots of super sweet sugary jam inside. Not tasty and way too strong.

I went there to enjoy some dessert, I bought 3 cookies and 3 macaroons, spending $30. After leaving the store I tried the items and unfortunately the cookies were very hard, and tasted very old. The macaroons were very cute but unfortunately did taste like they were made many days ago. The lady who helped us was sweet but didn’t seem to understand us at all, we went back in because these cookies were unable to be eaten especially for the price that we paid, we asked to switch the 3 cookies for 2 cream puffs, and they did not taste good. Unfortunately not a good experience. The atmosphere was very nice

The café was decorated nicely. The drinks were fine. The staff's attitude was rude and we felt very rushed to leave. This place closes at 10pm. We were very mindful of that and left at 9:57pm. Staff came and asked if we were done and started taking away our dishes in an aggressive manner at 9:45pm. I've never been treated like this at any other café before, and it wasn't even past closing time yet! Very disappointed.

Bad customer service here 😔

Had coffee here with friends on January 4th (evening). Staff seemed like she was throwing a fit the entire time my friends and I were there. When I ordered, she spoke to me with such disdain that I immediately felt uncomfortable tipping 15%. This coming from a person who usually tips 15% at most establishments without a second thought because I was also a service industry worker at one point and just want to support the people who keep me fed. Still tipped 10% which in hindsight, I think was too much.

With her same irritable attitude, she tells one of my friends that they close at 10pm and we even set an alarm for 9:30pm to be safe. She later says we need to have our cups ready to be picked up by her at 9:50pm sharp. She then comes by at 9:46pm, I am still working on my drink and I can feel her seething.

No other cafe has ever made me feel this uncomfortable (and I grew up in Asia with a more straightforward customer service approach). It makes sense for cafes to have a last call but this is a different energy: actively chasing out paying customers with hostile energy, well before closing time! Unacceptable.

The coffee laboratory tag under its name is a joke. They know nothing about coffee. Can't even grind coffee beans properly and they lies about the coffee beans.
I went to order a pour over and was told they don't do it. I was surprised and said it's on the menu, then the server reality they do serve that. I order a cup of chemex. I should have know they don't know about coffee when they price differently by pour over tool but not the beans.
It took them over 15 mins to brew the coffee and the coffee was cloudy, grandly with fines in the cup. Fines in a pour over... The coffee was not brew from the bean I orderas well, at least it didn't taste so.
The cold brew station is just for photo. Good luck to people who would like to pay for a cold brew with those expired pre-grinded wet coffee.

Cute little cafe. Order a Spanish coffee which was pretty good. Not to sweet. Lots of knick-knacks to look at also.

Order macaroons to go as they are just to darn cute. 🥰

Parking maybe tough to find depending on the time of day you are going as there are several other businesses/cafe/store in the complex.

I visited Standing Egg again after a year, and it was just as lovely as I remembered! The Korean girl working around 1 PM on Saturday was so kind and friendly. The latte she made was absolutely delicious, and the latte art was beautiful — it really made my day. If I come back to Vancouver, I’d love to have another latte made by her again!

Went to this cafe to potentially discover my next hidden gem only to be extremely disappointed and disgusted. I ordered a Hazelnut Oat Cold Brew Latte, a Pistachio Cream Latte, and a Ham (and cheese) croissant for to-go. After leaving the cafe, we dug into the coffee which wasn’t too bad- except we couldn’t tell which drink was which from the flavours. The first bite of the ham and cheese croissant was extremely tough to bite into, but food tastes different when you’re hungry. However, hunger cannot dismiss the unmistakable foul taste of mould that was in the cold hard centre of my croissant. By this time, it was too late to return and get a refund. I can only warn the next customer to carefully examine their food before leaving or better yet, skip this cafe altogether.

I usually stop by this place whenever I go to the market, but during my visit on August 27 around 12:30 PM, I had a very unpleasant experience with the cashier. When I went up to order, the cashier was not even at the counter but sitting and using their phone. They didn’t smile, looked uninterested while explaining things, and when I asked about the restroom, they didn’t mention that a key was required, so I had to go back again just to get the key. Even though it was just a to-go coffee and I left a tip, the cashier showed no sense of basic customer service. If I see this person working again, I don’t think I would go in to order.

This place is definitely more for the students and not a place to genuinely enjoy coffee. The bakery items are very cute but in my opinion not worth the price. The drinks were mid I couldn’t justify spending that much BUT I would drink all of it. The overall atmosphere is so cute. Will try going one more time to see if things change but for now it’s just not worth it with all the other cafe in the plaza

Sweet Potato Latte and Black Sesame Latte are absolutely DELICIOUS!!! However, tiramisu latte is wayyy too sweet, and I didn’t enjoy the chestnut latte either.
