Loved this unit. There’s a nice space for studying, and the attendant was incredibly sweet.

This store was originally crowded, but it got busier after Gilmore closed. Of course, it takes a long time to get the coffee you ordered. If you don't like it, stop complaining and go to McCoffee or Tim Horton. Or there's a Soon coffee on 2nd floor, so please stop whining. Maybe you can blame on the manager who scheduled baristas.

Edit: Yeah, I’m done with this place.

See, I get pissed when I spent an hour inside there, clearly had drinks and when I ask for a refill, I get the suspicious look and “barista” outright asking “Have you ordered here?”, which is a question I never got before, ever. Add to that the literally half-filled cup she gave me back, yeah.

Sorry, I’m so tired of creating excuses for people at this point. I don’t care, this is wrong and rude for any scenario. If you don’t know how to read your customers, stop working at a job that requires it.

Also, the taste of dark roast went from the usual “burnt” to charcoal, anyway.

Past review:
This is my favourite Starbucks. I always feel calm and satisfied after visiting. I spent long hours working on my never-to-be-finished pet projects on my laptop, found new people to chat to, got asked the best question of all: “Hi, you want the usual?”.

It’s a Starbucks, but one that’s keeping the old soul, and not the new “Get your drink and get out” energy.

The Good:
- Cleaned multiple times a day. I usually come early in the morning and everything’s already immaculate.

- Lovely baristas. Yes, sometimes they are overly busy and you wait for your turn to order. Be a human and understand the world better. Thank them for working hard.

- It doesn’t smell bad in there. I leave most other Starbucks smelling like grease, coffee, food. Not here, the ventilation is great. I hate smelling like food.

- The view is super cool, sit outside and watch the water fountain show. Or watch Brentwood station and Lougheed, busy city life.

- Not as loud as it could’ve been. The music is set by Starbucks, but at least it’s kept at a volume that can be tuned out if you’re having a conversation.

- Lots of seating. Starbucks is consistently breaking away from the “Third place” approach in many locations. I personally am using this location as my third place, and so do many others.

Not so good:

- Rush hours can be hectic. It’s a prime and busy location. They still do a pretty good job considering the number of drinks going out.

Overall, unlike some reviewers who don’t understand how to leave relevant information instead of their opinions may get you thinking, this is an amazing location.

My girlfriend & I visited this location a few weeks ago. This was the first location where one of the baristas acknowledged everyone who visited with a warm welcome. I made a joke to my girlfriend at the time; however, we both respect the commitment to providing quality service. It also takes a lot of courage to welcome every single person who walks through the door.

Just got out the store and always met with a greeting. Super nice and cheerful. Also had a big group order previously and the whole team were superstars making them.

My matcha banana cream protein was not well mixed and had chunks of mashed banana inside which tasted very unpleasant. I would’ve given a better rating but I did not enjoy the mashed bananas.

The staff at this Starbucks location are all very friendly. I sometimes stop by in the morning, and their service always makes me want to come again!

I really dont get these rwviews. I come here all the time, the staff greet you super nicely even if its 5 am, things are super fast.

It is, however very busy. So you might just get your order and go, especially on weekends. So its understandable when interactions are at a minimum. Staff is great and is just like any other starbucks, kinda expenskve but a nice spot.

This is my favourite location! I love that it’s open until 10:30 pm, which is perfect for people like me who enjoy a late-night coffee. The indoor and outdoor seating options make it a great place to hang.

The staff here are rude, unprofessional, and give off the impression that customers are nothing but an inconvenience and nuisance. NEVER going there again.

Cris was wonderful—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She’s one of the kindest cashiers I’ve ever met. Her service was outstanding!

This is easily the worst Starbucks I’ve ever stepped into. The staff here are rude, unprofessional, and give off the vibe that customers are nothing but an inconvenience. Service is painfully slow, orders are constantly wrong, and when you bring it up, they act like it’s your fault.

The energy here is depressing—zero warmth, zero care, zero basic customer service. If Starbucks wants to ruin its reputation, this location is doing a fantastic job. Honestly, you’d be better off making instant coffee at home than wasting your money and patience here.

Avoid this place at all costs
