Very surprised to see the negative reviews. The staff were friendly, quick, and the place was clean!
They gave us a cold latte, and when we asked to warm it up, they said they had no microwave. This is unprofessional, Tim Hortons always warms coffee for customers if requested.

An employee from the recently closed Suter Brook location named Holly works here so now everyone’s coffees will be made fast as heck.

As usual, all the starbucks staffs are friendly and very helpful. There's always a reason why the coffee here are a bit higher price than other establishments. Its the services you're paying for.

Drinks are always well prepared here. While the place is busy, they have a very efficient team so you don't have to wait long.

My dtr ordered iced London fog, got hot one! Today they are over staffed, lots of giggling , lots of gossiping, 4 baristas making drinks and still made a mistake. The ticket clearly said “ICED”. Maybe focus on reading instead of gossiping about customers!!
Walking into the Starbucks on Austin Avenue was a really pleasant experience. The moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by that familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee, which instantly set the tone for a cozy break in my day. The atmosphere inside felt warm and inviting, with soft background music, the quiet hum of conversation, and the occasional sound of milk being steamed.
The staff were genuinely welcoming. My barista greeted me with a smile and took my order with patience, even though I asked for a couple of small customizations. It didn’t feel rushed or mechanical, but more personal, which makes a difference in a busy coffee shop. My caramel macchiato was made perfectly—rich, smooth, and at just the right temperature to sip and enjoy. I also grabbed a breakfast sandwich, which came out hot and fresh, a nice complement to the coffee.
What I really liked about this location is the seating area. There were plenty of spots to choose from, whether you want a quiet corner to read or a table to open your laptop. The tables were clean, and the overall layout made it easy to relax without feeling crowded. Watching people come and go while enjoying a cup of coffee gave me that sense of being in a little community hub, which is something I love about Starbucks.
If there’s one small challenge, it’s that parking around the area can sometimes be busy, but once you’re inside, you quickly forget about that.
Overall, the Austin Avenue Starbucks is a great mix of good coffee, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can take a quick coffee to go or slow down for a while and really enjoy the moment.

Very poor service. The person taking the order is very impatient. Didn’t like that I had a particular order. No eye contact. No smile. No greeting. Showed lots of frustration due to my order being specific. Very unfortunate. The coffee maker chose not to speak to me. I asked if the order had something specific in it. She replied looking elsewhere with “we don’t put that in that particular coffee but here you can do it on your own”. I came in with a smile. Very sad. When you are courteous and get treated so poorly.

This starbucks although busy drinks are usually well crafted...however whoever did your ordering for PSL roll out sucks 2 days literally and not available...not very prepared for a roll out of one of the hottest selling items brought back early to entice those like me who have been intentionally not spending money there...

I am a regular customer at this Starbucks. Today, barista Juliana did not follow the instructions on my mobile order and added whipped cream to my drink. When I asked if she could remake it, she only scooped out the whipped cream. I politely asked again for the drink to be remade, but she reused the same cup that already had whipped cream in it. I had to request a different cup. Throughout the interaction, she did not apologize or acknowledge the mistake. I found this experience very disappointing and not up to the usual Starbucks standard.

Amazingly good and fast service at this busy Starbucks in Lougheed Mall in Burnaby. Spacious and organized. Easy to grab a coffee while I am in the mall.
