You’ll definitely want to take a minute to read this entire review. I know it looks long, but stay with me here:
I live all of a 5 minute walk from this Starbucks and still try to avoid going to it at all costs. It’s a franchise Starbucks so the only thing connected to Starbucks is the supplies and name, so apparently the management thinks they can do whatever the hell they want.
The university age staff is all usually pretty nice and decent-good at their job, but the older barista named Ann is the worst. She is incredibly rude and has actually insulted me to my face various times about my drink orders and other things. One time, she loudly belittled me for pronouncing Trenta wrong (apparently it’s “Trent-AH” and I said “Trent-EH”). Respectfully mam, you do not get paid enough to belittle a University student running on no sleep and caffeine for a minor mispronunciation. She also doesn’t seem to know how to make drinks for the most part. 9/10 times that I’ve ordered a drink and she made it, there was an instruction she either didn’t listen to or just wouldn’t add something. And if I brought it up to her, she would seriously argue with me over it. I don’t know how she has a job there. She must be related to the owners otherwise there is no way she still is employed there based on how she treats customers.
Like I said though, the university/younger crowd of employees all seem great/fine. I had a very helpful girl today who gave me recommendations. I wanted the new Ube Coconut flavour but the only iced option was a macchiato. I don’t like bitter coffee, I’m a sweets and creams gal. She recommended making it as a blondie for me and adjusting espresso and/or cream levels to fit my tastes. She was a delight - unfortunately did not catch her name but she had black hair and was wearing a purple mask. Go to her if you see her there!
Here’s another shady thing that this Starbucks actually does which I doubt the company knows they do.
This Starbucks doesn’t actually input the proper items into their cash register. They claim it’s because they don’t have the full menu on their computer, fine. But the real reason is because then they can get away with charging ridiculous extra fees on certain things without the company, knowing. For example, if you ask for no ice in your ice drinks, you get charged an extra dollar for a no ice fee. What even is that? No other Starbucks or food place that I have been to in general has done that before. And of course, they don’t have that add-on in their system, so they input it as something else and the company doesn’t see the scammy fees on their end. The other catch to this is that if they make your order wrong and they initially input it into the system wrong, you can’t argue with them to fix it because the evidence isn’t there.
Seating is also an issue here. It’s a smallish Starbucks and always busy because people are there to study, which I totally understand, but don’t go there expecting to get a seat for most of the day. Sometimes you get lucky though. It can also get a bit noisy in there so don’t go if you don’t like loud environments.
I only go to this Starbucks as a last case scenario. I would rather go an extra 15 minutes out of my commute to a different one, go get Tim’s across the street, or go without. The Starbucks should be aware of what these people are trying to pull over their heads. 😬😬😬

worst Starbucks I have ever seen.
freaking slow, and the drinks are not made correctly
At first I didn’t want to complain about the service I received at this Starbucks location. But after seeing many other bad reviews of this Starbucks location, I might as well share my experience.
Yesterday (Jan. 28th) I went to this Starbucks location. I ordered a strawberry açai lemonade with no berries. When I receive my drink, I noticed the colour was different than usual and gave it a taste as I was about to leave. I realized that my drink tastes like it has no lemonade, so I go up to the counter and politely ask if my drink has lemonade in it. The staff say no, so I respond by saying “I’m sorry I actually wanted this with lemonade” to which all the staff behind the counter look over and stare at me like I had done something horribly wrong. The person who took my order then says to me that I didn’t ask for lemonade in it, even though I for sure did because I order this drink all the time. I’m not sure if the person just didn’t hear me or what but I know what I said. The staff did remake my drink, but the whole experience felt really uncomfortable and I didn’t appreciate the staff member accusing me of being wrong.
Absolutely disappointed with this Starbucks. The staff here seriously do not use their brains while working. I ordered seven drinks, and not a single person asked if I needed a bag. Fine — I went back and bought two bags myself. But the barista didn’t even bother to ask what size I needed and just handed me small bags that obviously cannot fit seven drinks.
How does this make any sense? Isn’t it basic customer service to ask what size the customer needs? This is just common sense. The level of carelessness is honestly shocking.
Starbucks really needs to retrain the staff at this location because this kind of service is unacceptable. I am extremely frustrated with this experience.

Fine — I went back and bought two bags myself. But the barista didn’t even bother to ask what size I needed and just handed me small bags that obviously cannot fit seven drinks.

Slowest Starbucks I’ve ever experienced. It took at least 5 minutes for the cashier to process an order with a lengthy line up. And she want even preparing the drink (yes, singular hot chocolate with a peppermint pump).
I wanted to find out if I could buy whole bean expresso beans. Was told yes but another individual had to affirm. He was ready to go but grind. What part of I wished for while bean and espresso didn’t they understand?
Impressed with every other Starbucks I’ve been in all over the world.

Really bad experience with a guy at till maybe ahad , I was here to take my drink and told him to add caramel drizzle, and after having a sip I found it without drizzle and went back there he just simply took caramel syrup and poured into my glass by showing a aggressive face without any reason , really they guys don’t know how to make exact mocha , please don’t order again with Ahad ! Crazy boy there

Customer treatment is good but the staff closes the store super early, sometimes they start cleaning before closing hours, so you need to be “rushing”. Also it could improve cleanliness a little bit.

This place is weird, the girl at the front asked me to pay extra money if i wanted no ice in my drink. And said the charge is to remove the icee! Charged me extra for extra cold foam in my drink and gave it without any foam in there. Change the staff or put them to beginners training as they are not up to the mark for starbucks standards
Typical Starbucks atmosphere. Been here several times and they do not disappoint. Staff are friendly and your order is served on time.

This location never has coffee brewed and you always have to wait for them to make some (or they offer you an americano which does not taste the same and costs more). Every other Starbucks location has either Pike, Blonde, or Dark coffee brewed and ready without any wait. Not sure why each time I’m in here I have to wait for them to brew a black coffee. A coffee shop offering coffee to go that doesn’t have coffee to go.

Rude staff… She put too much milk in my coffee. When I told her my flat white had way too much milk, she started explaining how a flat white is made (as if I haven’t had it hundreds of times before). She offered no solution, and when I asked if she could at least add an extra shot, she said I had to pay for it. Starbucks staff are usually very polite, but the woman working tonight was very rude.
