Definitely a drinking style restaurant. The portions aren’t too filling so I’d recommend to get serval things to share. Ingredients are very clean. Heard the owner really likes Hawaii which is why the theme has so much Hawaiian decorations.
We've never felt so cared for at a restaurant. It was my wife and I's first time here and she has a few dietary restrictions to really common ingredients, so she usually just avoids anything with sauces and broths to be safe. She asked for a sashimi salad with a simple lemon/olive oil dressing, but the waitress took the time to understand her needs and the chef insisted on making a custom sauce that was safe for her. Japanese soul food... alchemical magic... but... shhhh... don't tell anybody about this place because I want to be able to get a reservation next week! I taste the sea... a poem... a song... these chefs and their staff are devoted to their daily creations... truly inspired... not like other restaurants. Bliss...
