Review for Subway – 5093 Canada Way, Burnaby
I placed a mobile order with everything clearly written out. After picking up my order and getting home, I realized one of the subs was missing tomatoes. I called the store, and the staff member who made the sub answered. When I mentioned the missing tomatoes and asked her to be more careful next time, she insisted she had added them and then claimed I had complained before. I found this response dismissive and unprofessional.
I drove back to the store, sub in hand, and asked her to show me where the tomatoes were. She accused me of removing them myself, which was both frustrating and insulting. I even opened the sub on the counter and took photos to show how little was actually in it. Despite clear evidence, she refused to acknowledge the mistake.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Subway, which is why I had stopped going for a while. I recently started visiting the Grandview location and had a better experience there, which encouraged me to give Subway another chance. Unfortunately, this visit reminded me why I stopped going in the first place.
The quality of the food has noticeably declined—thinner bread, fewer veggies, and poor customer service. It seems like staff training is lacking, especially when it comes to handling customer concerns respectfully. If someone can’t admit a simple mistake, they shouldn’t be dealing with customers.
I’m disappointed and won’t be returning to this location. Subway needs to seriously improve both its food quality and customer service.

This subway was disappointing, I ordered a pizza sub awhile ago and i asked for sauce which normally comes with the pizza sub, I assume that the women forgot, and I asked her nicely if she could remove the green peppers that were in the sauce, as there were also onions and olives in and around the area of the sauce , actually there was vegetables everywhere by the meats and vegetables and sauces. She argued me that it was part of the sauce - I used to work at Subway so I am familiar with how the pizza sauce looks and I ordered pizza subs often I will not be coming back to the subway ever again. The health code violation should come check this place out. She was so dang rude about it too like what the hell. She gave attitude while finishing the rest of my sub….

Look at your receipts they charged me a random 5.00 pst charge. Employee had now idea why. Such a joke of an establishment ripping people off.

When did they get so gosh dang cheap? They now have no napkins available for customers to take. Instead - guess what - literally just one flimsy napkin for your foot long sub in the bag. Yes I asked for them and was told to look in my bag and was not offered anymore. I'll go to the other subway instead of they're going to be like this.
Had an awesome experience at Subway today! Big shoutout to SIMRAN for being super friendly and making my sandwich just the way I like it. Everything was fresh, the service was quick, and she made the visit feel personal and welcoming. Thanks SIMRAN – you made my lunch a lot better! 🥪😊

This location has pretty bad service. Staff was putting on earpod throughout taking my order. They didn't say good morning or something for greeting customer. I had to tell good morning first even though they just stared on me. When I said 'good morning' third time, He asked me back 'what did you say?' They didn't ask anything like 'what can I get for you?' Or 'are you ready for order'. Seems like they don't want to work in morning! Sandwich was not bad, but service was terrible. I even don't want to put 1 star in this location.

If you order online from this place you will be disappointed. They either get your order wrong or the food quality is bad. I had my order arriving with a really soggy lettuce and weird tasting tomatoes more than I can count and I have had my foot long sandwich switched to 6 inches multiple times without any refund or price adjustments. Better go in person so you can get your money back if they mess up.

A typical subway location. Held to decent sanitary standards.
The sandwich artist was very friendly and efficient.
The food has been maintained the same standard for taste consistency as it has 10years ago.
I will eat here again

Walked in today at approx 6:05pm and stood there for +5 minutes. Management feel free to watch the camera. No one was in the store working. I called out multiple times.... I literally could have taken the cash register and walked out but instead I just took half a fountain drink and walked. Weirdest experience at a fast food spot ever. Lol.
Pretty sure I should get my sub for free considering I plunged your toilet for you. PS you need a new wax seal and a mop. Note this was the pg version of what I walked into....

Wow! I had the best veggie delite here. As seen in the pictures, it was bursting with fresh crispy vegetables and thickly packed with veggies as well. It was absolutely delicious and refreshing! All subways should be like this!

At around 12 on Tuesday May 21st the younger girl taking my order was rude and disrespectful for no reason. She is the indian one not the one with red hair. Please fire her.
