Don’t go here if you’re looking for a late night snack. It says they close at 12 so we went in at 11:20 and they said their kitchen was closed and they couldn’t serve us. Drove all that way to get nothing even though they didn’t close for 40 minutes

We recently ordered bingsu here twice on different weekday lunchtimes and were really impressed with the care the kitchen staff put into making them on both occassions. They not only looked great but tasted great! When paying $20+ for a dessert, this is the kind of effort and service one would expect. We even overheard other customers complimenting their own bingsus during our time there. Looking forward to returning and trying their other bingsus!
The shaved ice bingsu is really good. The mango fkabour is especially refreshing.

I was expecting a strawberry latte, but instead received what tasted like artificial strawberry milk made from powder(actually its made with powder..they told me) It did not resemble a latte at all. The flavor was overly fake and low quality. This was genuinely disappointing and misleading.

We've been there for this Thanksgiving afternoon, but it has changed significantly since we first visited. The serving bowl is so small that even the shave ice and condensed milk are not condensed; they added water (watery consistency like evaporated milk). Not worth paying more than $23 for 1 bowl of shaved ice.

We came to Sulbing in Burnaby to try the Oreo Chocolate Bingsoo -- it was okay, but not something I'd rush back for. The shaved milk ice itself wasn't very saturated or creamy, and there was a lot of cocoa powder, which made it taste kind of dry overall. I didn't leave feeling super satisfied.
That said, the service was great! The staff was really friendly and honest -- when I asked about the mango bingsoo, the person helping us let me know the mangos weren't ripe yet and might taste a bit tart, which I appreciated. Also, there's plenty of seating, so it's a nice place to hang out and chat without feeling rushed.

I used to come here alot but this place sucks now. I called around 11PM last night to ask what time they were closing and they said at midnight but their last call was 11:30PM. We got there at 11:17PM and ordered by 11:20PM. Around 11:30 they started cleaning which was totally fine but they turned off the music and making us feel we should leave now.
At 11:40PM, I went up to the worker and was asking for just 1 cup of water because the bingsus were really sweet, he said “no sorry we closed the water”. I didn’t know that places now aren’t allowed to serve water 20 mins before they close?! Water is literally human basic rights but because he was lazy and didn’t want to get water, mind you I gave that small stainless steel cup they have. Yet he said “no they closed the water”.
I would understand if we came right at 11:30PM and kept asking for a lot of things. There was 5 of us and we only ordered 2 so we were being mindful that they close at midnight so we wanted to leave the store ASAP. I didn’t know water also had a last call at 11:30PM.
Anyway, your service sucks and bingsu used to be hella good now it sucks too.

It has resulted in bad tasting bingsu with blocky texture
Not worth a visit anymore, go somewhere else instead
Shaved ice is a great desert to cool off. I love getting the mango shaved ice (mango cheese w/o cheese). It is filled with lots of fruit so there proportions of milk to fruit is good. The condensed milk topping and vanilla ice cream are good too. The mangos didn’t taste super fresh though. Also the tray and tables were sticky.

This is the worst shaved ice restaurant I've ever been to. The mall smelled like bleach, as if they were washing mops and mopping the floor. The shaved ice was not a snowflake, and although they used a cheap machine, the ice was hard and melted. If you want to eat shaved ice here, I think the quality of the ice would be much better if you buy a cheap shaved ice machine online and make shaved ice.
