I really like this place! I think every restaurant has its specialty and strengths, and I love the Sunshine roll at Sushi Toki. I highly recommend it! Very friendly staff.

Ordered at the restaurant for pickup and was told I had to order via the app in order to receive 10% off, which is ridiculous. Tried ordering on the app and realized they have a “maintenance fee”, and in the end it was more like 5% off at most. Ordered a few buy1get1free items and the free items were not included in my order when I went for pickup. Portions were extremely small for the price. Was my first time there and had some questions about their menu, server made me wait in between answers and prioritized in-store customers and customers that came for pickup… took more than 15mins just to get her attention and the order in so the experience was very mediocre.

Ordered bento boxes today and everything delicately carefully prepared with nice presentation. Oshi sushi like sushi cakes. Maki sushi bite size with not too much rice. Tempura batter nice and crispy. Server attentive. Went back again. Food good but waiter very busy with phone orders. Finally came by with tea refills and extra wasabi. Came in again today with 9 guests. We had mainly bento boxes and enjoyed them all. Went again and had yam tempura, crab mango roll, kimchi salmon hotpot. Would have preferred fried salmon on top to maintain crispness but all good. Server nanako very friendly. Came again and we had salmon sashimi and avocado roll. Came again today and ordered 4 rolls. Enjoyed avocado roll, house roll, California roll, wild salmon roll. Quite reasonably priced. Not busy at lunch with lots of seating and fast attentive service. Came again and we ordered bc roll, California roll, mango avocado roll and others. All good, reasonable price, and good service. Came today and enjoyed California roll, house roll, tuna toro, wild salmon roll, salmon avocado roll, scallop roll. Reasonable for 4 people as bill about $64. Came again for sashimi sushi bento box and house roll. All delicious. Came again and ordered lobster roll, chopped scallop roll, salmon mango, avocado roll, yam tempura. All good. Came again and really crowded but food came out fast and enjoyed our four rolls. Came again and enjoyed Canuck roll. Good service from harry. The first time we tried to get food from here 9 months ago, we were spoken to rudely by the host and chef because my husband wanted one ingredient switched out so we left.
On our walk today, my husband and I decided to give it another try — food was decent (enough to satisfy a craving). Rice was slightly overcooked. We’d reorder only because of proximity.

We like the food here and like going there. There’s a new host for the past 3-4 months who is very rude, does not know how to serve, ignores us, never checks on us. He once forgot to put our order in completely and didn’t even apologize for it. We waited 20 minutes and asked for the food and he said he forgot to place the order in. Another time he was really upset to give us chopsticks for our takeout sushi. He is generally rude and ignores us most of the time. The service and hospitality has fallen down to zero since this host joined the restaurant. We will be taking our business elsewhere where.

I have been living in the U.S. for over 10 years and have always held a high opinion of Canadians and their reputation for kindness and great hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience at this restaurant was the exact opposite and an absolute disgrace to the community.
We arrived as a family with toddlers, and from the moment we walked in, the host completely ignored us. There was no greeting, no acknowledgment — nothing. We stood there watching as other groups were seated while we were blatantly disregarded. It was impossible to ignore the clear discriminatory behavior we experienced.
On top of that, no effort was made to offer a place to sit for our young children while we waited. The host’s attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. This is not just bad service — it’s unacceptable and reflects a serious lack of respect for guests.
This type of behavior goes against the values of fairness, decency, and hospitality that this community is supposed to represent. These individuals are a disgrace to those values.
We will never return, and I strongly advise others, especially families or anyone who expects to be treated with basic respect, to stay away from this place.

The service was very rude and utterly horrendous. The server was not listening to us and my friend and I noticed that we were the only ones he didn't pay much attention to.
This is fun fusion sushi, it is not Japanese style. Flavors are interesting yet aburi “smoke” is consistent and subtle.
Service and staff were good but nobody was in the restaurant. I ordered take out and was granted 10% off! Master was generous today, server boy was very genki.
It’s fun to try once but it does not satisfy the craving for traditional sushi

I'm not sure why I ordered a lunch box with unagi, only to receive chicken instead. It seems like they don't pack food carefully either. I only walked 10 minutes home, and the soup had already spilled. On top of that, the female waitress wasn’t very friendly. Haven’t tried the food yet but overall not feel happy about it

I've eaten here twice, the first time I got a noodle dish which was okay. The second time I got several rolls which ranged from passable to gas station quality sushi. I was especially surprised by how bad the BC roll was, the salmon tasted like it was both freezer burnt and from a can, and the other rolls weren't much better.
Their prices are low, but I would recommend spending a few extra dollars and going somewhere else.
