Normally the food is very good. We ordered online (and paid) a little while ago only to find that the restaurant was closed with no sign of opening for the day. There was no way to cancel our order and ask for a refund. So I left a 2-star review. We got our refund today. So changed the review to 4-star. We like the awesome roll.

Google and your website said you're open. I order off your site and pay. I show up and the restaurant is closed. What the hell? Closed at 530 pm on a Saturday? Now I have a party with no food for my guests. Thanks a lot!!By the way I want my money back.

I have been coming to this location for over 15 years now. The service is so great here. The waitresses are so polite and friendly. Iconic Spicy Salon sashimi is to die for. A nice and wholesome place to grad lunch or dinner.I want this place to still be here for another 15 years for me to

Beware of menu, not all major ingredients are stated. We ordered takeout poké bowls online. Stated ingredients are: salmon or tuna, wakame, edamame, cucumber, avocado, crab, masago, tamago. Without any notification by phone or at pick up, two of these items were substituted for something else, one of which my husband is highly allergic to. When I called to inquire, the person said because I didn't put the allergy in the notes, they can't do anything about it. I clarified that the ingredient was not listed in the description on the menu and explained the severity of the situation. I asked if I had multiple allergies, would I have to list every single one. She said yes. I myself am allergic to beef but if I'm ordering a chicken dish with no mention of beef in the description, I would not tell the restaurant I am allergic to beef. My mistake for ordering from Sushi Town I guess.

The food is delicious, but the waiter always seems to be in a bad mood. Is this a specialty of the restaurant?

Grabbed some Uber Eats from Sushi Town tonight with a pretty good coupon deal and it's exactly what you'd expect, no-frills sushi rolls that are a pretty good price and decently tasty. We ordered: Katsu Don - pork katsu and egg over rice with plenty of vermicelli and cabbage sandwiched in between the two. I have to say this was the surprise of the night as it was a huge bowl with a giant pork chop on top. Although you have to dig for the rice, the tastiness of the vermicelli underneath was a nice surprise! Chopped Scallop Roll - I like how this had an ample amount of filling and their rice was nicely flavoured, not rolled on too thick. House Roll - similar to the chopped scallop, a nice thin layer of rice and stuffed with all the regulars (crabmeat, salmon, pickled veg, tuna and avocado)Negitoro Roll - didn't look great (roll was falling apart) but I was surprised at the tastiness of the toro and again, rice was done properlyMango Tropicana Roll - our "special roll" of the night with california roll on the inside (with the addition of cream cheese) and topped with tuna, avocado and mango sauce. I found that the amount of cream cheese was a little too much making the roll feel very heavy but the mango sauce helped lighten it up. Wasnt a huge fan of this roll. BBQ Salmon Kama - complimentary because of the uber eats deal but I personally wouldn't order this again - salmon was tasty though Overall, this was exactly what we expected and they delivered! Korean style sushi that is filling and tasty but a little short of authentic and a bit heavy on the mayo. I did appreciate how the rice was not laid on too thick.

Caveat emptor: This place has the absolute worst customer service ? l have ever experienced in a restaurant! I walked out with my appetite squashed. They will not accept a U.S quarter ( so l dig out a Canadian one), they will tell you extra sauce is 25cents, then when you give them that now its gone to 50 cents, they will kick you out if you order take-out and just sit for a minute to have one bite, and if you happen to take a loose plastic bag that someone else left behind, and not pay for it, they will threaten to call the police on you, they will tell you they only have coins to give back as change from a big bill, yet handover bills & coins. When l handed him my food and asked for a refund for his disrespect. He pulled the l will call the police ? card on me. Plus they are overlypriced. I detected racism towards me ( south asian descent l am) Go eat at Tentatsu ? instead!! Not impressed!

All food came out cold. Some rolls should have had cooked ingredients incorporated into the roll but were not. Miso soups were cold, waitress was just trying to do her job so no issues with her efforts. My family knows sushi and this location has been great in the past, so it's not a matter of inexperience but a lack of proper care and pride in food service. Add 18% mandatory gratuity to groups over 6 and it makes the expectations even higher to meet when money is tight. They waived the 18% gratuity but we will not be returning any time soon.I feel for the waitress, this was not her fault but the business should be taking feedback like this more serious because business is struggling as it is in general.

I used to love Sushi Town. Maybe its just not as good as the North Vancouver location. I found the freshness of their sashimi is slightly lacking. The portion amount was ok. Not as good as a deal as before. Prices has gone up significantly. My go to dish is the salmon gama, spicy salmon sashimi. In the most recent order, I ordered the chicken teriyaki, spicy salmon and tuna sashimi, salmon gama and on scallop nigiri. The scallop nigiri was quite tasty. The spicy salmon and tuna sashmi was a bit strange tasting. It had some water diluting the sauce, It seemed to be a bit watery and somewhat tasteless. The chicken teriyaki was not bad. I liked how they separated the sauce. The salmon gama was a pretty good size given that it is only $6. Note that this is Korean Japanese sushi. It is somewhat disappointing compared to the North Vancouver location. Note that I placed the order through UberEats and had it delivered to my location.

A few weeks ago this place was shut down, then they reopened for Take Out only and recently for dine in too. There has always been an 'attitude' issue, tonight was the worst. The person at the other end of the phone was not only rude but clearly has no idea of customer service or being a spokesperson for the establishment. I placed a pick up order online through their order portal. One item i wanted to order appeared as 'SOLD OUT' so i did not order it. I saw they had a relatively new item Town Crispy Taco- Tuna.So i did order it. My full order was around $110.00 i also left a fair tip of 15% considering it was take out. My full order was accepted. The payment was collected . I received an email notification confirming the order. 10 minutes later I got a call from the restaurant telling me they could not fulfil the Taco item. I said 'OK , the system did not say you were out of that so i proceeded to order it, so go ahead kindly remove that item, the person replied we cant do that, as it has been paid for online.' They offered me an alternative - Chicken Kaarage - i do not eat chicken , so i declined. He said well, the only option is I can cancel the order and refund the payment. I said great, happy compromise. I offered that as soon as he cancels the order I will reorder without that item, he said 'no it's ok'. I said I am not sure what you mean. 'Its ok we offered substitute you said no so you cant reorder.' I said ' i am understanding this correctly , are you suggesting you do not want my business, he said 'yes , we offered substitute , you said no so we don't want order.' I said 'but surely once you cancel order , i can re order , no? '. The reply 'No ok, bye we refund you payment, bye'.
