This place has amazingly fresh fish. I always get the deluxe chirashi and it never disappoints. The fact that it’s a little out of the way also means that I never have to fight a crowd to eat here. The inside of the restaurant reminds me of Japanese izakayas, and the Star Wars figurines at the counter add a little whimsy to the decor too. This is quite possibly the best sushi/sashimi you can find in this price range in the Pacific Northwest.
I’ve always enjoyed the food from this restaurant in my neighborhood and have ordered takeout many times in the last 4 years, so I hesitate to write this review. However, I was very disappointed with the shrimp tempura I ordered last night. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The star of the meal lies not in a single dish, but it’s the sushi rice itself. It’s sweet and just perfect. I was glad that I ordered sushi rice to go with the baked salmon cheek. I liked everything I ordered. Would recommend.
