With regrets, as the planned family dinner from Swiss Chalet in Burnaby is not happening. The last Swiss Chalet in BC was closed, apparently happened at end of August (after 25 years there). Too bad. Our family favourite chicken place for many years/decades. Now the nearest locations are locations in Calgary and Edmonton.

Meh, came here today to check it out for dinner. The hostess was nice, our server who is an Asian lady honestly didn't really seem like she wanted to be there, she did check on us from time to time but she could have been a lot friendlier. Don't come here if you are celiac, I asked about a gluten free menu and they don't have one, also my friend and I asked if the chicken is gluten free as well as the fries, and I said we don't want gravy due to the gluten, yet we got served buns and gravy with our dishes so I had to ask her to take it away. The chicken and mashed potato itself was okay. I also made a takeout order for my mom, and our server asked what I wanted as a side, I said fries, and guess what when I got home, I should have checked the box before I left the restaurant but there were no fries to be found. We paid about $30 for a dinner combo without the fries then? So we basically got ripped off. So always check your takeout order before you leave the restaurant. Also women's washroom is really smelly and off putting. I don't think I'll miss this restaurant when it closes down. Maybe that's why the service wasn't great? because they're closing soon and they don't care anymore? I don't know. I've experienced way better service at other establishments.

Went back here for nostalgia sake but were surprised at the taste and quality of the Nashville burger. It was quite a chunk of chicken breast crispy and yet soft inside. The pecan pie was excellent as well. Very reasonable in price and great service.

It was excellent. When I was a kid I remember this was a common food chain. Apparently this is the only one in British Columbia. Definitely a family restaurant.

I miss the Chalet! All the ones near me closed.. but the trip was worth it. I love the chicken with the special gravy, even the regular gravy.. but I think my favourite is the ribs!

Went out with my friend and her family and had a great dinner. All of us enjoyed our meals! Great value and great taste. Very good Caesar salad as well and I'm picky about my Caesar salads lol. And our hostess was very upbeat and prompt :)

This location is the only one left in BC, and I heard I rumour that it may be closing too. That would be a shame.Had lunch today and everything was great!Kyle was my waiter and he was on his game. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly.I had the 1/4 chicken with fries, and a soup to start. Soup came promptly, was full of flavour, and nice n hot.Only a few minutes after I finished my soup I received my main course. Everything looked and tasted great!Payment process was fast and smooth.Great job Swiss chalet Burnaby team!Hopefully you stay open for years to come

I had an amazing experience recently at this Swiss Chalet. Siobhan was a great server who made sure our every need was met. She ensured we had a great time. The food was great as usual. I had a Chicken Club Wrap for the first time and the portion was huge. I'm a huge fan of their chalet sauce and the fact that I can get vegetables instead of fries. Much healthier choice! I will look forward to coming again.
