First of all, the price on the menu and the price they charged are different. I ordered the Anago tendon and paid $22.99, but the menu says $19.95.
I visited the Metrotown location last week and ordered the Kohaku tendon. I paid $16.99, as their menu described, so I just can't figure it out. Did only this location raise the price? Either way, they need to update the menu. I might be overreacting, but I kind of felt scammed.
I visited this location around 9PM, but there was no one at the front, so I waited for a while. When no one came, I called the store, but no one answered. After waiting a bit longer, a server finally appeared and took my takeout order. I was told it would take 10-20 minutes to prepare my food. I got my order after about 20 minutes, which was fine.
The store didn’t seem busy, so I think they may be understaffed. Prices are the same as on third-party platforms, so I think it's more convenient to just order through them.
Lastly, I usually go to the downtown location, and I really enjoy the taste, the crispy tempura, and the delicious sauce there so .. 2stars for the Brentwood lolation but I'd give the downtown location 5 stars.

The food here was honestly terrible, probably the worst compared to other locations. The pumpkin soup was super watery, and the tendon tasted burnt. The service was just as bad—the servers didn’t seem trained at all and didn’t even ask how the food was. They just dropped off the food and never came back, even though there were only two tables, including mine. If you’re craving tendon, definitely go to another location, like downtown or Metrotown.

The portions were small, and the food quality was a bit disappointing. It was not well fried and felt a bit dry. Service was excellent but I wouldn't go back.

Amazing decor and atmosphere. Beautiful millwork creating comfortable booths.
However the food was a let down, maybe we came too late in the day but our Katsu and tempura were clearly not freshly fried. They were hard and dry, think KFC breasts after sitting on the warming rack for a while. The miso soup was extremely salty and the cabbage salad was not shredded finely, there were chunks of cabbage ruining the texture.
Service was good and they have the nice newer Korean ordering system. But there was only 1 server when we were there, she was great but shorthanded.

Service was quite confused due to mis communications.
In personal, Anago was quite greased to eat and ice cream too.
In the other hand, everything else was great.

This really is the place to get massive bowls of udon. Any size you want and it’s a free upgrade, so for that, I can say there is value. I do think that the bowls get bigger than the portion, but it’s fun to see.
The udon is pretty good, it’s a solid udon joint. They have some interesting flavors to choose from, and their spicy does have a decent kick to it, so be prepared.
It’s one of the better udon places in Vancouver, has a very clean washroom, and nice interior. Good for a quick lunch or bite with the family.

Wanted to eat here but stood waiting for several minutes without seeing a single staff on the floor to even be acknowledged to be seated. This place doesn't seem interested in doing business.

When I first came here, it was too crowded and the fries were soggy that I didn't like them, but now that the number of customers has increased, the fries have become crispy and delicious. Highly recommended!!

I was very disappointed today with my classic tendon takeout lunch. It was takeout so I don’t expect it to be fresh, however, this was overdone, dense and almost inedible. It was just plain greasy. The takeout packaging looks impressive but it’s not needed. Also the sauce was very thick and overpowering.
I’m reading other comments and people like it and say it’s light and crispy but my lunch today was the opposite. Perhaps training isn’t consistent and I just got an off day.

Came at 5 pm on a Friday night and was seated promptly. Loved the ability to order on the screen.
We had the wings, some tendon, and an udon. Food came promptly and was tasty, but just a bit more greasy than we normally like. We prefer the mazesoba next door. Nothing wrong or bad but just not something we enjoy.
Kid-friendliness: Child plates and cutlery available. High chair available.

The udon noodles were very tasty. Value was solid and the service was interesting. Everything is done via a tablet on your table. I like how the pricing was the same for any size.

Really enjoyed this place. Spacious and clean, great tempura bowls and udon. Nice relaxing vibe for families with kids, not too hectic at all plus plentiful washrooms with one family washroom that seems to have a changing station (didn’t use it). My daughter doesn’t really like eating out but she said “mommy next time can we go here again?”.

Order:
- mentaiko cream udon
- spicy rose cream udon
- tempura sashimi bowl
first time i’ve been here was 2022 and we loved it. came here again in 2023 and the food quality wasn’t as good. gave it a last try today and we will never be back again. the mentaiko doesn’t taste like regular
ones and it was really salty. the spicy rose udon had 3 pieces of garlic bread that was really stale. it was spicy which i can usually handle but as i continued eating, i realised it was exactly like the samyang buldak flavour… for this price and such restaurant, it was not worth it, especially considering that there aren’t any protein in the 2
udons we ordered. size of tempura bowl had obviously decreased since the last time we’ve been here and it looked as if it’s been fried for a while. atmosphere was pretty good as it’s in a quiet and clean neighbourhood. we got seated at 1pm on a saturday and the restaurant was completely empty.
overall, we will never visit this location again.
