The bear statue is pretty cool out front of the main doors. The location is great.

Food is mediocre at best. Service is slow and not consistent. Bar staff.. well the cocktails aren't worth it. The regulars are standoffish. Not the best place. Not the worst place. But be aware of what you're walking into.

Okay, I am a regular customer for years which is why I have 5 stars. And I love the Great Bear, it’s my favourite spot (kind of like the show Cheers) but I must let the owner know that the change in food has been terrible. I went the other day and was so disappointed that they changed the fries and crispy chicken burger. I brought a friend who had never been there before and I was raving about the food, and to my disappointment they changed the fries to the same you get at Costco....

I was in the area and stopped by here one afternoon for a drink. The space is very big and can accommodate a lot of people. My server was very friendly and helpful with any questions I had on the menu or any drinks they had at the time. Overall good experience and I would definitely stop by here again whenever I'm in the area.

Parking: plenty of parking in their dedicated free lot
