This is my local watering hole I love the pub and it’s food and service but Sunday karaoke is not very good. We showed up at 9:30 and they won’t take anymore requests because they accept peoples requests hours before it starts via text. It’s all the same people singing and won’t allow new people to sing.

The bear statue is pretty cool out front of the main doors. The location is great.

Food is mediocre at best. Service is slow and not consistent. Bar staff.. well the cocktails aren't worth it. The regulars are standoffish. Not the best place. Not the worst place. But be aware of what you're walking into.

Okay, I am a regular customer for years which is why I have 5 stars. And I love the Great Bear, it’s my favourite spot (kind of like the show Cheers) but I must let the owner know that the change in food has been terrible. I went the other day and was so disappointed that they changed the fries and crispy chicken burger. I brought a friend who had never been there before and I was raving about the food, and to my disappointment they changed the fries to the same you get at Costco....
