The reviews don't lie - this place is just wonderful ☺️💗 ! A friend and I stumbled upon this place looking for a nice cafe to relax and visit and we were do fortunate to find this location. The owner is an absolute gem with such a warm, loving energy to him, and he even gave my friend a bit of the apple fritter to go with her cinnamon bun just because she expressed interest in it earlier in the conversation! (She very much enjoyed both 😊 !) Such a cute, cozy environment, lovely and quiet outdoor seating... It really felt local and relaxed. Can't say enough good things about this place! Do stop on by when you get the chance in Burnaby 😁💕

Wow! Stumbled onto this place. What an amazing experience. My wife and I were very impressed by the owner (running the whole operation by himself). Has been in business for over 30 years! The food is spectacular, fresh and full of flavour. We also had the best Lattes we’ve had in a long time. Simple delicious food. Really made our day. The prices are also very reasonable.

Fantastic food, full of flavour and real ingredients. I found it really filling and it brought happiness to me as soon as I had the first mouthful right through to the last. Owner is the last of the few gentlemen out there providing value for money and great customer service with a friendly smile.

I eat at a lot of different restaurants, but this one is just incredible. In this economy, getting a sandwich for $5 or a cheeseburger for $7 is already rare — so at first, I thought the portions would be tiny. But when they brought out the food, holy, the portions were huge! The burger was super thick, loaded with meat, and the salmon sandwich was only $5.50 but packed and so filling.
And I eat a lot — like, I can easily finish four McDonald’s burgers — but here, I had just one cheeseburger, one chicken rice soup, and one salmon sandwich, and I was full. All that for only $13! You can’t even believe it.
And get this — the guy doesn’t even have a tipping option set up. I actually wanted to tip, but it was just $13, and he doesn’t even prompt for tips like most places do. Other restaurants serve tiny portions, charge $40 for the same thing, and then the tip screen starts at 20%. I eat out all the time, and I’ve never come across a restaurant like this before.

If there was an option to give more stars, I would. He is the kindest, the warm ambiance he holds in his kitchen makes you feel like you’re transported home to a nostalgic time. On top of that, he’s formed a sweet community of regulars who know his restaurant is delicious. He’ll remember your order, checks in on you, and offers great portions for an incomparable price. The food is AMAZING. Seriously, the food seems to be worth more than what he asks for. Would definitely come again if I lived closer.

Popped in to get a coffee to-go (1.25$), which was cheap, fresh, and tasted great.
The in- and outside looked homey - I'll need to return to check it out again and try some food.
We were looking for a spot for lunch when in the area and found this one on Google maps. With such high reviews, we figured we'd have to try it. It's a very small restaurant, bit of a hole in the wall. The food was fantastic and the owner seemed really nice. When we went it was about 11:45 and the place was packed. A lot of the people that work in the area go there for lunch. Since most of them were eating soup, I figured we should try it. Great decision. It was delicious. If in the area again we will definitely go back.
I had to give it a four on atmosphere instead of a five just because the place could use a little bit of work. But I don't think anybody goes there for that. They go for the food and the friendliness of the owner.
Super nice owner, great heart and generous.
Yaser was was absolutely fantastic, the soup is so good and the sandwich is just like a good home feeling sandwich, will definitely be back again, Yaser was so friendly, the price is just unbelievable
The service and food made from scratch is absolutely delicious.
Is a friendly owner, chef, service, (same person) and always makes me feel welcome at home!
It is a hidden gem and I'm always surprised by the flavor and affordability!
