Twins Donuts, No Store Front, Pre Order Only, Farmers Market

Picked up half a dozen donuts at the Twins Donuts stand at Italian day this afternoon around noon. Each donut was different so it’s clear this issue was not confined to one donut.

We have tried four of the donuts today and will be throwing the other two away. They are bone dry and really unpleasant. There is no way these donuts were fresh and it would not surprise me if they were made multiple days ago.

In the future, if you’re selling your products at a popular event at an average cost of 5 dollars per donut, please have the courtesy of bringing fresh products.

I just tried my first one at the No Car Day on Commercial Drive. I had high hopes for an amazing donut, since the presentation was amazing. I got the tiramisu and was instantly disappointed. I love a soft, squishy, moist donut. I'm fine with a denser donut as long as it is moist and tender. Sadly, the dough was tough and dry. My guess is the dough is overworked? Since it was my only experience, I would definitely give them another try. I hope this is a one off because it looks like they could have a really special product if they get their dough right.

I'm so sorry to leave not the best review but I hope its good constructive critisism for areas to work on. The presentation was good, but we found the donuts very bland in taste (tiramisu, strawberry, nutella) other than the filling of the lemon one. The donut itself is very dense and tastes like oil which takes away from any flavour the donut might have. The donut to filling ratio was also underwelming especially with how dense it was.

Looks good, tastes soso, probably because they were not fresh. Ube was cold(not room temp cold) and tasted a day old

Picked up a peach mango donut from the Burnaby Farmer's market. Bite inside to get to the peach and mango compote. Light and airy donut.

The best donuts in town!! Their beignets are to die for, especially the dough is fantastic texture, gooey and sweetness from it.

We visited the booth at the New West farmers’ market today and got chicken adobo and strawberry cheesecake donuts. So yummy! We haven’t tried a savoury donut before, and chicken adobo turned out to be a nice mixture of flavours. It hit a spot during our walk home. Strawberry cheesecake donut was amazing - filling was smooth and rich and there was so much of it. Will definitely try out a few other varieties in the future.

Recently had the opportunity to try a donut from this baker. Loved the strawberry cheesecake filling - best filling I’ve ever tasted in any filled donut I’ve had and no shortage of it! It just flowed right out! Also loved that the donut itself wasn’t sweet (often times the filling is already too sweet and a sweet donut is overkill) and matched the filling sweetness perfectly. I would say that the texture of the donut itself is a bit more like bread than what I would expect for lightness and fluffiness in artisanal donut textures but it tasted amazing!

Very tasty and yummy donuts! I don’t typically buy donuts but couldn’t pass up trying these flavours!I bought the peach mango, chicken adobo, bailey’s cream and avocado krema, Will definitely be back to try others! The savoury donut was good and the others were not too sweet either.

Cute and good sized donuts. The filling of the ube donut was a bit sour though but the topping and icing flavours were good. Creative flavours. A fun try.

I love their donuts. Freshly baked and not too sweet. Was expecting the flan donut to be very sweet but not at all. We will definitely come back for more.
