Waves Coffee House - Kingsway

I visited Waves Kingsway this evening.I accidentally spilled my drink but the staff was very nice and they cleaned it up without any complaints.The drink was very tempting and tasty.Would highly recommend this place.

Went there today around 3:30. It’s a really great and nice coffee shop for everyone to visit. The girl in the front was super friendly and she helped me with the menu as I have never been to waves coffee before and the coffee tasted really good as well. Will recommend again.

We come in almost daily but the South Asian girl (her name escapes me at this time but I will update!) often gets the order incorrectly. Each time we order the same thing, Waves size medium roast coffee with cream and 2packets sugar (they recently began withholding sugar packets and changed the drink making station to be on a weird small ledge that only one person can stand at compared to the actual counter right behind it.. incredibly uncomfortable and inconvenient).

She keeps giving the regular size instead of the Waves size, and this time when we called out the mistake, charged us an extra 50 cents for the cup change?? Even though it was not our mistake. Just seems silly as a long line was forming if impatient customers as she couldn’t figure out how to charge us just for the cup..

Coffee is great, love it, but service has recently gone down a bit since the newer hires happened. Still love waves and still support them! And despite what I wrote above they’re very friendly. We can’t imagine going anywhere else.

If I could give this girl a zero, I would. I always come in to order a caramel macchiato from this waves and it would taste amazing, but that was until I got this lady named manish or something similar. The last two times I came into waves, she was working and my Caramel Macchiato tasted disgusting. It didn’t even taste like coffee but water. there was no coffee at all and she just filled it with milk and caramel sauce. She needs more training on making coffee, because no one should pay for their coffee and it being taste like water.

As a long time customer (10+ years) I offered up my congrats to this particular Waves store for being the top cafe in Burnaby. I've been going to this same location since 2014. Seen so many staff come and go. And now Dennie the current team lead is doing an excellent job with everything here as well!

I have even been around during its renovation period when they completely changed the floor tiling and rearranged the kitchen / front counter location within the store.

So congratz to my favorite Waves store for the win!

The workers at this location always do an excellent job meeting customer specifics. Especially two guys named Frank, and Hank that I've now seen handle two challenging customer interactions with impressive composure. Job very well done time and again.

Usually stop by there for the earl grey tea and the spinach feta bistro pastry!

Today i tried the black rose garden tea and (despite how long I’ve been going here, this visit was the only time I’ve been ever asked if i wanted my tea steeped or a tea bag be given).

I prefer to have steeped tea always!

This visit they also ran out of the chocolate ganache cake which is my favourite so feeling a bit sad they ran out (it’s only early afternoon in the week when I visited).

Met someone on a scooter and they mentioned it was nice there’s ample street parking on Kingsway (in front of the café) and specially on the side streets as there are trees for shade ?
