not a great experience here, also not the type to write bad reviews.my bf and i came in around 8pm last monday as a walk in for dinner (they had a promotion going on). we stood there for literally 5+ mins without any greeting or smile from any staff. not even a “we’ll be with you soon” or “let me grab somebody to help you out”. multiple staff just stared at us while they walked around or brought food to tables, not even trying to help us. it wasnt even busy! some of the sections werent open for seating.ive worked in the industry for over 3yrs and this was disappointing. the lady who ended up helping us who i found out was the manager was unprofessional and not hospitable. its like she wasnt even aware that we had stood there stupidly waiting to be helped by her staff. sure, you can say this is a casual restaurant but its still hospitality and guests should feel taken care of. we waited longer than the wait time (which is whatever) but nobody really checked in on us during the dining experience.food was good, seems like foh was overstaffed and boh was swamped.

Got the spicy chicken ramen (hot level) and it was a good amount of spice. The soup was flavourful, the thin noodles were a great texture, and the chicken was super tender.Only issue was we stood at the front for a little bit before they seated us, even though we tried to make ourselves more noticeable by stepping further into the restaurant. Wonderful experience otherwise.

Around noon, we arrived and found there was already a queue forming. Despite plenty of open tables inside, the shortage of staff meant we had to wait. It seemed there were only two servers and one multitasking front-of-house staff member who also doubled as a server and cleared tables. I could have sworn there used to be more than just two servers. Another pair of hands would have been immensely helpful. Seriously! When you're told the wait is only 10-15 minutes but there are six open tables... it's easy to see potential revenue slipping away. Some people only have an hour for lunch, so having extra help would really make a difference. So, we did see a few people walked away.We visited during the promotion when the ramen bowl was discounted from $19 to $12. Was it because of a promotional offer through an app that Zubu was running? Frankly, I believe Zubu could thrive if they maintained their prices at $12. They'd likely attract more customers and increase sales. It's similar to what the restaurant in Vancouver, Ramen One, did by offering $10 bowls of ramen! Think about the volume. We might not have considered Zubu at $19 a bowl, but at $12, it's much more appealing and we wouldn't hesitate. Plus, there are drinks, desserts, and more—extra revenue streams that could greatly benefit Zubu. Ramen One might be onto something that Zubu should seriously consider adopting permanently. Our server, Violet, was exceptional. Very polite, professional, and always wore a smile, even amidst the busy circumstances. She made sure everything was alright, and her service truly brightened our day. Thanks to Violet, our experience was wonderful!Vegetarian options: Spicy Vegan Ramen (Creamy) that comes with tofu, garlic chips, vegetable broth, leafy kale greens (diced), and cornDietary restrictions: Server will ask if any dietary restrictionsParking: Metrotown Mall ParkingKid-friendliness: Kids food in a boat!Wheelchair accessibility: Free mall parking

Overall it is fine, friendly environment and not too crowded, food is ok. On the low side, I experienced slow service and uncomfortable seating. We were a group of 12 people and a couple of dishes arrived after everyone finished their food. The wooden chairs are a bit high for children and after 30 minutes of being sitting they start to feel uncomfortable.

The downtown location is awesome, this location was not. It took 15+ minutes for our server to bother taking our order after we put down the menus and pushed them aside. It took a similar amount of time to get our bill, we had to ask twice for water, just basic inattention to detail, while he hung out at the bar checking his phone and chatting with kitchen staff. The flavour of the food was good and quality too, but our soup was served almost cold and with almost no broth. When we requested more, we were provided barely a few tablespoons. Are the restaurants margins broth driven?

We had a fantastic time at Zubu Ramen! Their standout dish, the Spicy Chicken Ramen, caught my attention, while my partner opted for the Vegetable Ramen ?. Both dishes were surprisingly filling, and it was enjoyable discussing their flavors together. We also added seasoned eggs to our order, which enhanced the experience for me as a first-timer. For starters, we savored the pan-fried vegan gyoza. To round off my meal, I indulged in a Hayu Mojito.?Overall, the experience was delightful, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning for more delicious meals in the future!

I'm not particularly fond of Ramen, but I don't mind having it occasionally with friends. Recently, I visited Zubi Ramen for dinner. I opted for the spicy vegan ramen while my partner chose the spicy chicken ramen. Surprisingly, I didn't find the ramen spicy at all. It was decent in taste, although, as mentioned, I'm not a huge fan. We also ordered the vegetarian Gyoza as an appetizer, which I really enjoyed. The condiments, especially the hot sauce, complemented the ramen well. As for drinks, I ordered a Hayu Mojito, expecting a blend of pineapple, lime, and mint flavors, but unfortunately, I could only taste the mint, with no hint of the other flavors.

No.1 ramen on my list, better than any other famous ones! The soup is full of flavor and aroma and but light and not overly salty.

Tasty food and very friendly service! I had the creamy chicken ramen bowl with thick noodles which was very flavourful. Unfortunately the stool seats were not very comfortable.

Poor Service. We were a party of Six 4 adult (1 wheelchair) and 2 kids (9 and 3). We were told about having 18% gratuity immediately and I was fine with it. When we were seated, we only had a menu that we had brought with us when we were waiting for our table. 5minutes or so in, none of the servers even came to our table and offered and drink or ask what we wanted nor even gave us a menu. I had to even try to call their attention to assist us. It was such a poor experience and I dont even know why I should have given 18% gratuity when there was no service at all.
