We stayed here this past weekend for my son's hockey tournament and will definitely be coming back! Our room was recently updated and the beds were so comfortable!! Balcony with ocean view! Restaurant at the hotel was also amazing. Staff is so friendly. Highly recommend this hotel.
Super sigma
We stayed at the anchor Inn because of medical procedures I had to get done at the hospital which is right down the street. Laura at the front desk was extremely accommodating. She was polite and kind and asked how I was feeling when I checked out. The rooms were clean as usual as we generally stay here when we have appointments in Campbell River. We live on a remote island on the north end of Vancouver island. It’s nice to know we have a reliable place to stay at that is clean and has great staff.
This is a strange hotel. It's like the original 4 storey hotel with an elevator then an added 3 storey with only stairs. Checkin on street level (actually level 5) requires stairs up or down otherwise drive around behind and take the elevator up only to level 4. The restaurant is on level 3. Breakfast included is pretty ordinary but it's free. Nice views over the water. Staff are friendly. A few minor issues in the room.
No elevators, sloooow service every sector , little water pressure can't shower. Dirty carpets . House keeping didn't vacuum , remove garbage or leave clean towels. At $420, 00 a night not going back . Not recommended.
Ate there for 2 nights on the terrace and I must say food and service was good. Friendly staff and fair prices
We stayed for a week. The elevator only goes a few floors, not the full 7. My grandma has a terrible knee and struggled going up the flights of stairs multiple times. :/
The water pressure is prettyyy bad, had to tippy toe to the head to get all the shampoo out of my hair.
Website pictures are SUPER misleading as there is no hardwood flooring, it’s all carpet.?
Service was okay but a little slow.
Breakfast buffet is pretty mediocre, grab the food when it’s fresh otherwise the hashbrowns will be hard.. but can’t complain about free food I guess.
Such a great place to enjoy that various boats, ships and other watercraft in between Campbell River and Quadra Island.
The only downside is their buffet breakfast, regardless that is was complementary, it has very few options. For the money you are spending on the rooms, breakfast was a 4 out of 10.
Nice room. Quiet. Good food. Excellent service. Friendly staff.
My husband and I stayed at the Anchor Inn for my birthday and Satinder at the front desk was so sweet, professional, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her kindness truly made our stay memorable!

Hotel smells as soon as you walk in. The smell in the elevator is even worse. Broken windows boarded up, chipping paint and overall unkempt. Hot tub taped off. Our view was of another boarded up and taped off old building. Breakfast was less than basic.
Housekeeping is doing the best they can with what they have to work with but overall this place needs a major upgrading
pictures of the waterfront looked nice and it is probably one of the best hotels there (can not compare as It was my only time there) however the hotel is very dated and requires renovation in hallways too (the rooms were renovated). overall OK but not more..
Stayed here in June while on our honeymoon. Staff upgraded us to the honeymoon suite on the 7th floor. It included an ocean view balcony, 2 deck chairs, a jacuzzi. The view was stunning but be aware that there is not an elevator on floors 5, 6 or 7. Be prepared to haul your luggage up the stairs. We were told our room was newly renovated. It certainly had been upgraded but the renovations did not appear to be completed. There were drywall patches that had not been touched up, the tub faucet was not properly attached to wall, and the sliding door to the balcony did not latch etc. There was a very strong chemical odor in the room (like off gassing from new carpet) We tried to deal with smell by leaving door and window open when we went out for supper. It didn’t help. I realize we could have asked for a different room but did not want to move at that point in the evening.
For the hotel’s information, I mentioned the issues when we checked out and as well followed up with an email to management. I was not expecting any resolution, just for them to be aware of issues.
The manager’s response unbelievably included that “my husband mentioned (to front desk staff) that he was happy with the stay. We understand that perspectives can differ and we take all feedback seriously.” Take that comment as you wish. 🙄

Clean, pet friendly but a bit dated. Overall a solid affordable, comfortable, oceanfront stay.
