Love this pub but food service was too slow. Servers were great, but took 40 minutes for our simple wrap and wings to appear. And it wasn't very busy.

You'll be proud of me. I picked up a fork and started to dig in, but then I remembered; the picture!

I was in the area and I had to check out one of my pins (more on that in a separate post) that I had never been to, so landed myself at The Cobblestone Pub and had a gander at the menu. Now, there are some classic dishes that go back to my childhood and two of those are chowder and liver and onions. I hated both of them growing up but my pallet matured and now I can't pass up a good version of either.

I have to say, the chowder is probably my favourite one I've had on the island so far. I love chowders that are clam forward and this hit that spot, and the rosemary focaccia that came with it was a great pairing. And the liver and onions, oh wow. If you never liked them and still don't but would give them a try, come here and do so. If you still don't like them, we might not be able to be friends.... But this is one of the best versions I've had.

The mushroom pappardelle was also quite tasty (my partner's main) and the wings were great. I especially appreciated their balance of blue cheese and Frank's. It's exactly like dunking your hot wings in your side of blue cheese.

All that to say, if I'm in the area, I'll be back (I'll make a point of getting back to the area).

It's a pub's pub. Small village pub. Locals, decent food and some lively nights. Bombay Chicken Burger punches above it's weight and the hangover brunch + Caesar is pretty good. Could use a refresh of the menu and beer list to highlight the amazing south and mid-island food and beer.

The place had great parking, looks great from the outside, nice inside, just light enough to see properly. Comfortable seats, prompt and friendly service. Good tasty food, but one of our meals was a little on the small size. So why only a 3 rating. Everything was great until the end when we paid the bill and we noticed that the LOWEST we could tip was HIGHER than we normally pay. There probably is an option to tip less, but I dont want to do that. This is the first time we have seen this and we eat out about 3-4times a week. What a pity , I guess we'll go somewhere else to find a regular spot

Two in our party had the breakfast poutine. I enjoyed mine right to the end however, my friend found it a bit salty as he got to the end of his dish. My hubby had the hangover omelet and found it a bit dry as the sausage, ham, and bacon were inside the omelet. He expected them on the side. Our other friend enjoyed the 2 egg combo. We arrived at 11 AM with a reservation and were seated promptly. The space was very open and welcoming. As the morning progressed, the pub became more crowded with the lunch crowd. All in all, a very delightful spot that we will visit again.

After hearing so many good things about the Cobblestone from other locals, and reading good reviews online, we were excited to finally give it a try!
It was such a let down! The atmosphere is dark, and it’s hard to tell if they’re trying to be a restaurant or a pub. The service was mediocre. The food was the biggest disappointment of them all. Prices were a bit high for the small portion sizes you got. When I go to a pub, I generally expect reasonable prices and reasonable portion sizes. I don’t need fancy, and that’s where I feel this pub is having an identity crisis.
Also the $29 steak “sandwich”?! Was quite literally a piece of steak, on half of a rock hard baguette!
