The staff is so friendly it's great to come here for dinner. The menu has some classic pub fare, but is a bit stale.

A week ago we had wings house salad & yam & regular fries& it was excellent.!!
This week when we ordered the exact same thing, we got 1 salad instead of two & 2 orders of fries , but the worst thing was everything was overcooked! We were very disappointed.

The food, service and ambience at Cobblestone Pub is always excellent. We were a party of four and our lunch included seafood chowder, buffalo chicken wrap and one each of the flatbreads ... all delicious. Cobblestone Pub is our go to place whenever we want to get away from Nanaimo! Highly recommended.
Love eating at The Cobble stone pub in Cobble Hill Great food and service from Kaitlyn and the coffee ☕️ is the best Cheers 🍻 Ron Wolf
Love this pub but food service was too slow. Servers were great, but took 40 minutes for our simple wrap and wings to appear. And it wasn't very busy.

You'll be proud of me. I picked up a fork and started to dig in, but then I remembered; the picture!
I was in the area and I had to check out one of my pins (more on that in a separate post) that I had never been to, so landed myself at The Cobblestone Pub and had a gander at the menu. Now, there are some classic dishes that go back to my childhood and two of those are chowder and liver and onions. I hated both of them growing up but my pallet matured and now I can't pass up a good version of either.
I have to say, the chowder is probably my favourite one I've had on the island so far. I love chowders that are clam forward and this hit that spot, and the rosemary focaccia that came with it was a great pairing. And the liver and onions, oh wow. If you never liked them and still don't but would give them a try, come here and do so. If you still don't like them, we might not be able to be friends.... But this is one of the best versions I've had.
The mushroom pappardelle was also quite tasty (my partner's main) and the wings were great. I especially appreciated their balance of blue cheese and Frank's. It's exactly like dunking your hot wings in your side of blue cheese.
All that to say, if I'm in the area, I'll be back (I'll make a point of getting back to the area).

It's a pub's pub. Small village pub. Locals, decent food and some lively nights. Bombay Chicken Burger punches above it's weight and the hangover brunch + Caesar is pretty good. Could use a refresh of the menu and beer list to highlight the amazing south and mid-island food and beer.

The Cobblestone always treats us right, we were a group of 18 on a busy Sunday for the pub. But we were treated well and the food was it's usual high quality.
Quick and friendly service. The food was great too!
