Our experience was alarming. The wine maker very rude to say the least. We were asking him questions about his vineyard and grapes and he started on a rant about how he used to work in the Okanagan and everything was a waste of money. He had white wines from 1994. He proceeded to tell us how you shouldn’t drink any of the Okanagan wines unless they’re aged for 20 years. We sampled one glass of white wine (1996 vintage 😯) and it was awful. We politely tried to remove ourselves when he started to yell at us about how it wasn’t free. We paid the two dollar tasting fee and proceeded to leave. He continued to rant at us as we quickly left the tasting room. It was quite alarming and shocking. We will not go back there again.

If you are looking for some boujie winery vibes, this ain’t it. What this place offer is old school, authentic wine made with passion and years of experience. We loved our experience here and the wines the we bought. Best tasting wines in the Valley.

My husband bought at their store on Robson street ,the attendant told him the wines is amazing but it wasn’t. Him bought a Pinot noir and a Cabernet both completely damage , almost vinegar , I will not recommend!

Very quaint winery that serves up 35 varietals with wines dating back to the 90s that are still in the upper $20s price range. There is a good selection of easy drinking wines and more complex wines today challenge the palate. If you are lucky you might get to meet the owner who is 89 and still a wine blending force.

Very welcoming! Old and new interesting wines with some very neat history. It is a working farm, which just adds to the charm.

You know how sometimes the sketchier-looking the Chinese food restaurant, the better the food is? I think the same is true of wineries. Divino is not some big operation that spends more on marketing than they do on wines like some other wineries in the area, it’s a simple affair with a real, old-world winemaker making simply fantastic wines. Our tasting was fantastic, and you can tell the owners have real passion for what they’re doing. And each wine has a story, some of them “accidental”.Highly recommended, just be sure you take your time and understand this isn’t some polished professional operation, it’s a true winery run by real, passionate folks.

Great wines, great chat with CarlaA real, small, farmgate winery, one of the very first in BC. Congratulations to the Busnardos for staying true to the roots of the industry. Don’t expect a fancy tasting room and chi-chi bistro, just good honest farming and wine making, by the same family who started in 1979 in Oliver. Excellent prices and wonderful wines presented in an unpretentious setting! Refreshing!

Booked tickets for Cowichzn wine festival. Planned our trip to the Island and their schedule but they changed it. So we couldn't get in and messed up our passport to get all 12 wineries in. Not impressed.

This was our surprise favorite stop during the Cowichan Wine Festival!Carla (the daughter of the winemaker) was a down-to-earth delight and had many great stories to share about the wine, vines and history of the vineyard. If you're particular about having fancy wine experiences this might not be the place for you but we loved the "rough around the edges" Italian charm of this vineyard. All six of us touring and tasting bought many bottles of wine here! It's affordable great wine for everyone that won't break the bank :) We already loved drinking a few bottles around a campfire and on our patio during a nice summer's night. We will be back! Thanks Divino :)

We were treated very rudely by this establishment. It said it was open on the road. We went in... very very rude. Said she closed. We left.

The proprietor is charming but it looks and tastes like he makes his wine behind the outhouse. To paraphrase Monty Python: “This is not a winery for drinking -- this is a winery for laying down and avoiding.”

I purchased a bottle of his Raven Red for a great price. I took it to a wine party and put it in a paper bag as we were doing an unknown wine judging party. There were 9 people who brought different wines. Some very highly priced. They were all in bags and unknown. We poured a glass from each and all had the proper judging forms to fill out. Out of 9 wines that we tried I couldn't believe it the one I purchased from Devino Estate Winery WON!!
