We first tried Moo’s pizza when we heard they shared an award for “Cowichan Valley’s best pizza” put out by the local newspapers 4-5 years ago. The household agreed: Delicious pizza with plenty of authentic tasting cheese and toppings; this will be our preferred local pizza joint, worthy of the extra drive (from Shawnigan Lake) for the foreseeable future…
Over the last 8-10 months we’ve noticed the quality slipping to drier/flatter/harder crust, less toppings (dried out pineapples) and the bites just don’t produce the cheese-pull these pizzas once had, whether they’ve changed cheese product, or just started putting less on- I’m not quite sure, but the quality has dropped immensely.
Perhaps it’s a byproduct of ordering on Monday when the large pizzas are priced as a medium- great deal btw. I could only speculate they anticipate a busy Monday and perhaps they make their dough day(s) in advance? This Monday pizza felt like a task to eat. Leftover pizza used to be a nice snack; now any leftovers are tossed out. I’ve attempted to customize the orders to bring back that pizza that originally won us over: extra sauce, extra cheese, extra toppings. If I opt for extra toppings, should it not be double the original topping? Why add ~50% more topping (in my case I like extra pineapples) but charge the full topping amount? Few pizzarias get this right so I won’t fault them specifically for that but the industry as a whole.
My household is ready to move on from Moo’s as they feel the drive/pickup is no longer worth it when there are other pizza options much closer. I’m writing this review in a chance Moo’s Pizza can take this constructive criticism and get back to their once delicious pizza worthy of the title of ‘Cowichan Valley’s Best Pizza’. For those on the north end of Cowichan or anyone in search of great pizza, We suggest ‘Roberts Street Pizza’ in Ladysmith, now that’s a pizza Moo’s should strive for…

First time here.
6 of us took this opportunity to share our experiences and create real review.
The building looks dilapidated and honestly appears closed if not for that little detail of a neon sign stating ( Open )
One of us created his own pizza and ordered it large, I had a pineapple onion olive large as well. We then left after asking it to be delivered to our address
Now I gave the address but was our two digits ( not intentional) the drivers name was Chase he still got it to us on time.
Very impressive and he worked it out
Also I did not tip him yet. But ensured him after our review he would receive a tip.
Nice guy this chase . Oh and the pizza was still Hot. Our first taster scored it 8.5
Second 7.0 third 7.4 fourth said slightly less. Etc Long story short, it was good.
Recommend it to any hungry travellers.
Thank you to Moos Pizza.
Here’s a tip for moos from our team to yours , pizza sauce scored a 9.1 very high
Basil was fresh good sauce but if a cinnamon bark roll was placed into the boiling tomato sauce this would give it that secret lift up to a 10 +.
Secondly. The crust is bit tough and could certainly use a little more oil and panache
But these are just our thoughts.
Cheese was great olives good onions fresh and pineapple good. End.

This is by far the best gluten free and dairy free pizza I have had. Such an incredible pizza! Some GF pizza can be thin but this was not thin, but a wonderful thickness. It was so good we came back for another one as soon as we could. You will love it!

We’re visiting from Calgary, and wow, Moo’s Pizza absolutely blew us away! From the moment we placed our order, we knew we were in for something special. The lady on the phone was incredibly warm and helpful, making the whole experience that much better. She really set the tone for the kind of care and quality this place offers.
Now, the pizza? Incredible. Seriously some of the best pizza we’ve ever had, perfectly cooked crust, generous toppings, and flavors that hit just right. You can tell it’s made with real love and attention to detail.
We also tried the brownies, and they were out of this world. Rich, chewy, and just the right amount of gooey. The perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal.
Big thanks to everyone at Moo’s Pizza for making our visit so memorable. You’ve officially set the bar high, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!
